Drove from Virginia whenever I’m in the area. Service is outstanding, they take the time to make sure you do not spill a single drop of the awesomeFlavorful tea. She came out to the car to tape the drinks.
I visited this store wanting to buy a large amount of loose tea for Daily drinking. I found the store owner condescending and annoying. I recommend going elsewhere to buy your tea.
Very cool store to visit. Bubble teas are very good and the store smells great
I should have paid more attention to the reviews. The man in charge (owner?) was yelling at a staff member when I got there. The two young staff people in the store were helpful and kind. While I was browsing I accidentally stepped into an area that was only for staff--it wasn't obvious--and he was quite rude and raised his voice about it. My gift shopping ended at that point and I took my business elsewhere.
To begin, the tea itself deserves 5/5 stars. There is a wide variety of flavors and most of the employees are very friendly. I have been coming to Ten Ren for nearly 5 years with my daughters almost always at once a week (and have always been loyal customers which is even acknowledged by the employees), and before easily could have said that it was the best boba in the area. But what changed my perspective on the shop, is the rude owner. He never looks happy to be attending costumers, and does not treat the customers the right way. He can also sometimes be heard talking loudly/angrily towards the employees. But what really pushed it over the top, is that recently when my wife went to order a drink with boba on the side, he told her that there was a new policy that charged an additional fee to put the boba that came with the drink on the side, claiming that it was a lot more work. This was ridiculous, I doubt that many other costumers order boba on the side, and the way that he said it, made it seem like he came up with that on the spot to prevent us from getting boba on the side. Additionally how hard is it to scoop boba into a cup instead of the drink? It’s the same action. Also the prices have recently been raised, to about $5.49 for a small tea, the cup itself is very small and the price is too much. I can get a large boba, for $5 at other places. We would have kept going to Ten Ren perhaps less often because of the price, but with a rude owner like that, we will be going to different places now. One day maybe we’ll go back when the owner learns to respect customers. Other than that there are wonderful employees who make it welcoming, and treat you nicely, they are the reason people keep going back for more.
This place typically closes 1 hour before their listed times. Plan to go extra early because they don’t stick to the actual times they post.
Went for a great cup of hot tea this afternoon after lunch. Got the large hot Jasmine Green tea. Price was $5.25. This was a staff recommendation. Place has a good diverse menu without overwhelming you with too many choices. Staff is very knowledgeable and helpful in making choices so if you want to experiment this is a good place for you. For the single cups they serve you can also buy the tea leaves so you can brew at home. They also have a great inventory of teapots and cups. Didn’t see any tables to sit and drink inside so you will have to take it to go. There is a bench outside if you want to sit. Enjoy!
Love their green tea with peach. Yummy
Best ginseng i've ever used, and a variety of organic teas that I could not get to because I was too distracted with the ginseng! The woman who helped me pick out my ginseng was very polite and factual about the product. One of the most attractive and chill shopping centers to be located in as well.10/10 Top rated businesses in my head
They have high-quality loose teas and regularly showcase seasonal picks. The staff are friendly and knowledgeable. They also serve bubble teas.
