One of my favorite restaurants in the area. We can always depend on it for good, authentic Taiwanese food. Get the oyster pancake or, if you're feeling adventurous, the stinky tofu. My husband always gets pork chop on rice, and I usually get pork with bamboo shoots. We've also had the flounder with plum sauce (excellent) and the mala dry hotpot (also delicious but humongous so you need a larger group for it). They have a meal set called "1 duck 3 ways" that uses a whole duck to prepare three (who would've guessed?) different dishes. The food is great, but honestly the staff are even better. I always feel super welcomed by the owner.
As soon as you walk in the amazing smell overtakes you! I wasn’t familiar with some of the dishes like the radish pancake but the food was delicious. Home style full of flavor and big portions. Try it out ??
Authentic Taiwan food. The stinky tofu is just like what I had in Taiwan.Pork belly buns are really good.Crispy fried chicken cutlet with rice is huge. Will try more next time
3.5 stars, (almost) authentic Taiwan street foods, tastes still lacking a bit of fineness & flavors! Drunken Chicken & Wenton Soup are closed to standard/ average, Oyster Pancake is only ok w/ too much flour, Chicken Rolls tasted good but too much fish cake inside, Spicy Intestines Over Rice has strong flavor but still tasted like missing somethingOverall OK & Will Repeat!
My favorite Taiwanese restauarant in DMV. Oyster pancake, popcorn chicken, pork with bamboo, chicken soup, and three cup chicken are awesome here.
Very disappointed! Dirty spoon and chopsticks….. The waitress was very rude and demanded us (a party of two) to give at least 15% tip. Her attitude was very insulting: “ it should be 18% for evenings.. but I only charged you 15%”. What a joke. I have lived across the US from the west coast, mid-west to the east coast. Never heard of such thing. If you want to get treated like dirt, then this is the place to go!
Good meal; good variety, prompt service. Ordered the snow pea tips, rockfish, and seafood noodles. Expected to have leftovers; had none.
Good traditional Taiwanese homestyle cooking. very lean and healthy. Love to support my local businesses here too.
Wanna try the taste of Taiwan style dishes. Here is the place you want to come. Pick everything on the first page of menu. You won't regret.
Our noodles were way too oily, and the taste wasn't anything special either.
