Sushi was delicious but the rolls were very small

Over priced and small portions. Go elsewhere.

The food was delicious and the service was excellent. Definitely going back for more.

I'd rate this a 2.4, but let's round to 2Clam and seaweed soup tasted like peppered water, absolutely skip , it has almost no flavor.Crunch fire roll was decent, but the tempura flakes were stale and fried a couple of days ago or improperly stored where air is getting in.Calamari was fried too long and had the chew of a rubber band, but the sauce wasn't half bad , just a tad bit too sweet. The best thing was the sweet potato tempura roll(comparable to Yoyogi's( which I added cream cheese to. All roles had a good rice to filling ratio , but I would skip this place , and drive to Kenaki which is like 8 minutes away.

We ordered some sushi from them ,, their salmon and avocado was not fresh , and price is too high for their quality and service,, not recommend at all .I won’t go back to them again , it was awful ?

I'll start by saying the sushi is really good. I enjoyed the flavor a lot. But I had to take a couple of stars away just because of the small portions. I'm not from here so maybe this is normal but I'm used to specialty rolls being much larger than the cheap simple rolls. Like two or three times as big. I got a spicy tuna roll and a specialty volcano roll but both were the same size and both smaller than a normal cheap roll back home. I can barely finish this same order back home but here it was just a snack. I took a picture with a soda for scale so you can get an idea of what to expect.Like I said, maybe I'm just an unknowing visitor and have incorrect expectations. The flavor was there so if I did go back, I'd have to get four rolls to fill up which would be over $40. Again, maybe that's normal here but it seems pricey to me.

My go to sushi spot is in DC. And when I moved into the neighborhood, I was worried it would take awhile to find our spot. But the first place we tried, was the one. FATE!The service here is good. They are always so warm and welcoming. And out of the hundred of times we've ordered, we've never had one error.Prices are on the higher end, but you are paying for what you get. FRESHNESS and QUALITY.My wife and I love the sushi and fish here. Everything is SO FRESH. We also love the grilled squid and tempura! They actually have a lot of great Japanese dishes here that you don't commonly see at other sushi spots in the area. They even do free delivery which has been awesome during Covid19.Only downfall is I noticed the portions are inconsistent. Lately, they have been charging way too much for the smallest maki rolls. It's hit or miss. And because of this, I dropped it down one star.

First time ordering. This poke bowl is $18 something... and I've had better poke bowl with way more sushi in it. This is overpriced.

We really wanted to love this place. The sushi was just ok, nothing remarkable. For $70, we were expecting more... more WOW and definitely more quantity. We ordered Maki rolls, shrimp tempuras, and seaweed salad. We will be returning to our favorite sushi spot that literally gives twice the quantity for half the price and it is fresh and delicious. I realize we are spoiled, but this really felt like overpaying. That said, didn’t feel it was fair to go any lower than four stars, all things considered.
