I wish I could give the food a good review but no.The lamb samosa was too salty. The Rogan Josh was generally unflavorful. The Tandoori platter wasn't grilled and dry as would be expected but came partially wet. the lamb included with this was very tough. The platter was also sadly mostly unflavorful. The lamb biryani was the best dish we got here but also sadly subpar compared to other local offerings.
WORST FOOD QUALITY and service!!!!!! The chicken which we ordered tasted like old chicken and felt like eating sand. Veg samosa could be the bad dish to eat from OM restaurant. We had to cancel the complete order after tasting chicken pakora and samosa. While waiting for the bill, the waiters (a man & a women) of the OM restaurant were talking something in some other language and laughing at us. As a customer we felt insulted for their mistake. NOT RECOMMENDING!!!
Very nice and friendly staff. Clean and the food was fantastic and tasty. The owner was approachable and down to earth. We ordered: chicken tikkamasala, butter chicken, spinach paneer, samosas (out of this world), shrimp biriyani, and mango lasse (refreshing). We also ordered a variety of naan bread. I highly recommend.
Excellent! One of the best Indian restaurants in the Rockville area. Excellent curries including panir. Butter chicken was ok. Good lassis and samosas too. Great prices. Not very busy, good for large-ish parties.
I had the most lovely experience dining at Om Indian Restaurant last night—the food and atmosphere were absolutely amazing, definitely my favorite Indian restaurant out of all the ones I’ve been to (& I’ve eaten a lot of Indian food!) We ordered the saag paneer and a lamb dish, which were both delicious. I have a bad sweet tooth so when I go to Indian restaurants I always have to get a mango lassi & gulab jamun for dessert. SO delicious!! But the best part of our experience was interacting with the restaurant owner, Luis. He was so kind and genuine and made us feel really appreciated. We spoke with him for a while, really connected & he gave us a free butter chicken and rice pudding to-go. I felt cared for at this restaurant and it’s clear that the owners will go above and beyond to show appreciation for their customers. This is the type of locally owned business we need to support & make sure they thrive!! I will definitely be back.
Om Indian Restaurant is my Go-To for lunch. Their cheap 6 dollar buttered chicken and rice is absolutely delicious, especially since you get more then what you pay for. A definite recommend if you want to try some Indian food!
Best Indian food in MoCo. The Butter Chicken is amazing, and we love the garlic Naan and Lamb Vindaloo. The owner is so kind and accommodating - I'veseen many a social media post about him going the extra mile to help people. Spiciness tends to be on the milder side but they will happily amp it up if you ask.
Absolutely enjoyed my meal!It was hot and ready when I arrived. The prices were average but the portions were more than generous. The amount of stuffing in that lamb samosa was incredible lol. I ordered butter chicken and although at first I was shocked because I had never tasted a butter chicken flavored like theirs, I wasn't opposed. Although not what I am used to from probably dozens of Indian restaurants I have tried, it was still delicious!!!!! The naan was light, fluffy and well cooked. Nothing ends a meal worse off than a naan not well prepared. I highly recommend this place and find it surprising their ratings aren't even higher! I was looking for good quality and tasty indian food and I found my local spot! Thanks.
This is such an amazing restaurant, the owner receives you with a smile and excellent customer service. For me, it’s the best indian restaurant ever!! I am from Miami and I can’t find a place like this one. Highly recommend everything
The best place to eat Indian food in the DMV. Locally owned and they treat you as family. Every meal we have tried has been delicious. I highly recommend this place for a true authentic experience.
