Bubble Tea

Worst boba tea place in Rockville in 2021.Everything is artificial, fillered with tea, and expensive compared to so many dozens of boba tea places in this city. I asked for milk tea and they said its non-dairy powder with powdered flavoring. I can barely taste the tea and creamy milk when all i taste is water and sugar. Costed around $8 for a large and $6 for a small. They claim the cakes are fresh but i saw them pull it out of a pre-made frozen aisle box. Plus many of their menu items are not in stock, from bread to pastries to matcha ice cream. On the upside, they got good brown sugar pearl milk and mango-peach tea. But thats all.

I've tried their espresso black milk tea and fruit teas with bubbles, and I loved it. Next time, I will try different ones because they all looked good.

Went here after kbbq with friends. I was craving popping boba and something fruity, so I got a peach tea with popping lychee bubbles! It's great if you're craving dessert/have a sweet tooth - if not you may want to turn the sweetness down.I also had a friend with me who had their first boba ever here, and he ended up loving it. I'll definitely visit next time I'm in the area.

You know the reviews are just not balanced at the time of writing as 1.5 star cause there are plenty of 1-star deserving places that make drinks that taste like play dough out of some Asian supermarkets nearby for example.During the peak of quarantine I ordered some drinks and they delivered curbside. They were appreciated at my time of need for a caffeine fix cause others were sheepish about covid and closed... at least the drinks are in the spirit of true bubble tea which is not to make everything from some disgusting powder in order to turn a quick buck - but actually make real tea drinks with delicious and fresh boba...still a ways from that too though.I tried it earlier, when they just opened and they've improved. If they can continue this trend maybe they can compete with some of the premium choices around here like bubbles and tea or gong cha or ding tea.At this point I would give A 3 star. But giving 4 star proactively and to balance the other overly negative review and will check back every few months hoping things keep getting better.Running a business is extremely hard, and so is making good boba, so you know, let's give our community some support and push them in the right direction...and if they fail to improve in a year or two we can take them to task :D

i second the 2 star review for the bubble tea here by isabelle. wanted to get a bubble drink w/out caffeine for the kids. asked the guy who seemed clueless/careless and just mentioned "uhh the first one". also the teas are waaaay too sweet. they can vary the sweetness, so i'd suggest half your target sweetness, then you can add sweetener to taste after. it's a bit harder to unsweeten after the fact. also, the biggest downer in a bubble tea - the bubbles are hard...they may as well call it marble tea...ugg...disappointment all around...do not get the marble tea here.

Would not recommend the bubble tea here. We got a Matcha Rose Latte with bubbles and a Taro-Coco Bomb Milk Tea with lychee jelly. The Matcha Rose was simply terrible, very bitter with a dry aftertaste. It was very obvious that the flavoring was artificial, and not even a good artificial flavor. I actually threw this one away instead of finishing it, and I do not like to waste food. The Taro-Coco was better, but nothing special and not worth the price. It was more taro than coconut and it seemed like they used coconut water instead of coconut milk. The only reason I gave 2 stars is because the toppings were delicious. Maybe the ice creams are better than the bubble teas, but I will never get bubble tea here again.
