Awesome little donut shop in the spot food hall, you can make your order digitally at two different kiosks or wait to be served by the person behind the counter. I had a black sesame donut and it was so delicious and chewy!
My friend recently brought me Mochi donuts for my birthday and my husband really liked them so we decided to try this place, which is the closest Mochi donut store to us. Unfortunately, we were very underwhelmed.There was no one at the register, so we ordered at the kiosk. As we were waiting, I noticed that the same people who work here, work at the kiosk next door. However, even though they kept walking into the Mochi space, they kept ignoring the receipt with our order. After 15 minutes I finally went over and asked them about it and they said they hadn’t seen it until just now (aka when I pointed it out). The donuts were also sitting in trays out in the open behind the counter, which I didn’t like. Several were stuck together and he kept them that way in the box. The icing was also super hard and too heavy. They also had a promo of buy 5, get 1 free but we got 12 and didn’t get any discount. Maybe you needed to order in quantities of 6 or order from a person to get the discount - who knows since no one was there to help us.Overall, it was almost $50 (including a 10% tip which we gave on the kiosk before we knew what to expect) for kind of stale, expensive donuts ($3.50 each! They were $1.99 where my friend got them) and slow service. I would recommend other Mochi donut places before this one.
Mango donut has to be my favorite so far!
The donuts weren't bad but not worth the price. We had amazing mochi donuts in NYC which is what we were looking for.
These mochi donuts are really good and not too sweet like normal donuts. They have a good chewy texture and you can tear each section off to share with other people. The matcha and yuzu flavors are my favorite and I highly recommend them. Also it’s best to eat them fresh right when you get them!

We tried 6 flavors. The texture of the donuts was really good, the icings were full of flavor and would’ve been enough to satisfy our taste buds. Some of the toppings felt very unnecessary (like Wheaties the cereal along with sprinkles on a Yuzu flavor… why?). Chocolate unfortunately does not like me and I was highly disappointed to find chocolate syrup drizzled onto my favorite sesame flavor. But as mentioned, the donuts and the icing flavors were great and would come back.

Their donuts are amazing!! They’re good sweet and chewy. I’m so impressed with their qualities. I hope they launch a new store around me as soon as possible! ( I think they’re gonna make a new store in McLean according to the website) They must be popular here too!!
Delicious Mochi donuts. I tried both the pistachio and the black sesame flavor and recommend them both. The flavors seem to be contained to the icing but they are beautifully decorated and delicious. The shape also makes them easy to share by tearing off sections.
