Any place that can get my wife to look forward to getting barbecue has GOT to be good. This is a small chain that doesn't feel like a chain. There are lots of options and the portion sizes are very generous. Party of three, all got something different, including sides, and we get a small order of ribs in addition to the three meals. Ribs were fall off the bone juicy and very tasty. Six different sauces to use on each table...trust me, you'll find AT LEAST one you'll like (or more that you'll like several, but one more than the others). I believe a portion of proceeds goes to help military/first responders and their families. Whether true or not, the place is loaded with all kinds of military and rescue photos and first responder badges/paraphernalia. We went on a Wed most recently and got there about 6 - there were a few tables open. Right after that the place filled up. Staff is friendly and willing to answer questions. Great experience.
Amazing BBQ, I had the pulled pork, ribs, and brisket. I got the juicy brisket, mine had too much fat and I should have gotten the lean. The ribs were fall off the bone, delicious flavor. The pulled pork was juicy and so tender. I also got a side of baked beans, they were amazing, smoke flavor and pieces of brisket.Bathroom was clean but did have a mild urine smell.Well decorated with a military theme, it was fun to soak in all the history on the wall.I've been to over 80 BBQ placez in my life. Texas, Kansas City. I would go here over and over again it was very delicious.One note, the food could have been a few degrees warmer.I will be back!
The service at this Mission BBQ was unbelievably good. My husband and I looked at each other multiple times in amazement. We came here for lunch on a Saturday with a 3.5 year old and 1.5 year old. When we walked in the door we were greeted immediately by the staff at the counter. Ordering was easy and the person helping us answered several questions. As we started filling our drinks, a worker approached us and asked where we would like to sit and if we would like 1 or two high chairs that she would get and take to our table. We had planned to sit outside, so she grabbed the high chair an hurried outside to prepare our table. Next, another worker approached us with our food on two trays and insisted that he carry it to our table. Once there, they made sure we had all of the sauces we wanted and that we had everything we needed. The first worker that helped with the high chair came back out to check on us during our meal and then when she saw that we were finishing up and cleaning up our kids, she came back out and told us to please leave everything and that she would take care of it. The kindness and service of the staff made our dining experience very enjoyable, which honestly doesn’t happen much with young kids! As my husband remarked, there wasn’t even a line to add a tip on the receipt, which is a shame because these people deserve a tip! But they did it all sans tip with a smile on their faces. We don’t live in Rockville, but we visit pretty regularly and now we plan to absolutely return to this Mission BBQ often!
Went their for the first time the staff & customer service their was excellent! Enjoyed conversations with Fern and Michelle C. And the food was superb I had Ribs,Collard greens, cornbread and potatoes salad . Can't wait to go back with my Grands and Children ???
So good and so consistent! This place is top notch, they are always on point with their customer service and quality of food. My go to is the moist brisket with cheesy potatoes, it can’t be currently beat in the area (R.I.P O’Briens ?). Favorite sauce is Smokey Mountain, I need to check and see if they sell it, it’s worth buying. Added bonus is their theme/memorabilia which is very cool to look at.
Found this fantastic BBQ in our new neighborhood and we’re very excited about it. They have 7 different BBQ sauces to choose from plus a big ol’ bottle of NC vinegar on each table.This BBQ is fire ?I had the pulled chicken with baked beans, “cold slaw” & Mac n cheese. Def over ordered but it was all delicious.Looking fwd to trying the baby back ribs next time.Also check out the special horseradish sauce ?The manager Paola was super kind and helpful explaining more about the sauces and giving us some free welcome brownies for desert.
I love their Carolina style pulled pork sandwich-the meat & generous topping of coleslaw is piled so high on the bun I have to press it down to take a bite! Always Fresh & Delicious! Oh, don't forget sides like their Mac n cheese and desserts like their luscious Blueberry Cobbler or Caramel Bread Pudding! Yum, yum yum!!!
Great staff and delicious food! Paula was a great host and made sure we enjoyed our first visit to this awesome establishment. We’re from Texas and miss the a good bar b que. This place exceeded expectations!!!
Today was my first time ever having mission barbecue my family eats it a lot yet I’ve never had it. I did a online order upon receiving my order I explained that this was my first time. They immediately gave me the best reaction ever! The manager even came over and gave me a free sandwich for my next time they explain to me their sauces in detail and showed me is there smokers the male I was speaking with informed me there are no microwaves in the shop and I thought that was pretty cool great first visit can’t wait to come back and try dessert
delicious food that’s reasonably priced. but the most impressive thing are the incredibly nice workers.
