I had placed 19 person sized party at this location. The restaurants policy for large parties is that every person must be present. I was also told that there was adequate seating at a large table for us. About 2 days prior I inquired as to whether it was alright to have my party seated if I had a majority of my party with me at the least. I was told it was alright. However when we arrived I was told that all 19 had to be present and accounted for. 2 of my attendees were unable to show up, and I informed the staff. Eventually all persons arrived save for one who was no longer attending. One of the staff, a woman with lightly dyed red hair, kept insisting that I needed all members of the party to show up, even though I continuously reiterated that they were no longer attending. Eventually after petty back & forth, the staff finally sat us down in 5 separate tables, which was not what I was told over the phone. Staff then proceeded to ignore us and set us up at tables far apart from each other, despite the restaurant being somewhat empty, at least 4 other tables also present. This kind of customer service is absolutely disgusting, a mask does not hide the look of contempt that another person may give. I am a customer service industry worker as well, and I would never treat anyone with this level of disrespect or disdain on my worst days. Anyone even thinking of dining here should go to one of the alternate locations or another establishment entirely.

One star is being very generous. Went with my family group of 9 to what we expected to have a great meal/ experience but truly the service was terrible. I don’t usually rate a restaurant this low but the servers were rude and did not explain anything to us, they just kept looking at us and walking away. Keep in mind we went at a good time where there was no wait time and tables open. We weren’t seated together which made the communication between the group harder to explain. Turns out both tables got two different choices of the all you can eat option (this was never explained by them, our party was to be considered all together. Now after reading their fine print that goes against their policies I don’t understand why they did that to us?). What really was offensive is they rudely snatched food away that’s supposedly not included in the choice you made and just to be thrown in the trash (if they had explain that before there was no problem with us paying more for the second all you can eat option). They’re literally over your shoulder watching everything you eat the whole time. Don’t get me started with the hot meat sauce splattering everyone. The food was alright once you drench it with the sauce they gave you, meat by itself no flavor. The service isn’t offering you refills water or a beverage considering the fact that they’re constantly coming around to watch you. We were left with nothing to drink half the time we were there, couldn’t go up to grab a drink neither. Truly disappointed and dissatisfied I expected better, will not be returning.

We like Korean BBQ at Iron Age in Catonsville so when we were in Rockville we decided to try Honey Pig. The food was ok, not as good at Iron Age but what was really disappointing is that the service was terrible. No one really looked at us, or talked to us. They took our order but not with a smile. Even wearing a mask you can sense a smile. Everything we asked for was a chore. More salad, they asked how many, hot sauce, they gave 3 for our party of 5, water, lukewarm and when we asked for ice we got a cup with some ice in water. Really folks?? At $30 per person they should be pouring on the charm and making it an experience not just a meal. We will NOT be back but if you like the idea of Korean BBQ, head to Iron Age. It's really great and service is wonderful.

So my experience was horrible my service was bad and after tasting the food I wasn’t happy at all she burned my meat I told them why I didn’t want the meal the manager stated we have to keep it ok fine never known if a place that forces a meal on you then they barely understood me because she stated she don’t know English that well once I left I was only in the car no more than 15mins and I started feeling nauseous I’ve been sick all day and will be going to urgent care yet along my water had something in it like grease or something sent that back just to get a water that taste like faucet water also while my daughter father was reading the menu I asked her where was the kids menu she rudely closed the menu while my daughter dad was looking over it if I could give this place 0 stars I would this place looks cute on the outside but on the inside customer service is HORRIBLE AND I PREY I GET BETTER TO AVOID GOING TO URGENT CARE I WOULD NEVER GO HERE AGAIN IDC HOW HUNGRY I AM ILL EAT DIRT BEFORE I GO HERE AGAIN WASTE OF 104.00 dollar’s

Great pork quality but terrible service.Food was mediocre and had no seasoning on the honey pig option. Why call it your special if its just a plain porkchop? Also, worst service ever. Never coming back after being treated like nobody's.

I don’t usually write reviews but hopefully whoever reads this can save themselves the money and headache my husband and I experienced here. We went to this establishment on a Sunday around noon. It was slow, we were seated and the server did not make eye contact, was not very friendly. She asked us what meat we would like and we told her. She just threw 3 different meats on the grill and came occasionally to cook it. She then proceeded to sit next to us and eat her lunch. Granted Everyone deserves a lunch break or even breaks but it was super unprofessional. I felt as if she rushed through the entire process and didn’t ask us if we needed anything she was not friendly. Seemed as if she was more concerned with taking her break and socializing with the other employees there than to be serving us. We were given the bare minimum of service. Will not be coming here again.

I have been to honey pig couple times since it has opened and had no issues. However my recent visits there, the service made the experience quite terrible. It literally all came down to one thing …rushing. It was 4 people in my group, we just sat down and haven’t looked at the menu yet they already asked what we decided to have. We asked them to give us a few minutes but within the next 30 seconds they asked us 3 times (2 different servers) if we were ready. It felt like we were being rushed and it wasn’t even a few minutes into being there. After we order everything they rushed and cooked everything at once there is no problem but food can burn that way and as our grill was full they didn’t wait and just piled it on. We drank soju and they poured the meat sauce into the drink, when we asked for more sides we had to mention it a few times. We were out in about 40 minutes but too be honest it felt like 15min cause it felt so rushed. Before the recent visit I went with my friend and it was rushed like that but not to that extent. It felt like we were being pushed out “like leave already” vibes.

We usually like eating here but my wife and I came In at around 9:45pm and we were rushed throughout the entire dinner, they advertise that they close at 11pm but the kitchen closes at 10pm, we were told this multiple times during the time we were here, we feel so sick because we had to eat so fast, we hadn’t even finished the first serving and we were already getting a receipt, this is a Korean BBQ place so if the kitchen closes at 10pm that means the restaurant closes at 10pm.On top of this when they brought the check we were charged 79.00 for two people and we were asked to provide them a tip of 18% so we had to pay 92.00I didn’t know the tip was a requirement, specially with the terrible service we got.We got there at 9:45pm and I’m in the car at 10:20pm writing this review.

Honey Pig BBQ has very delicious meats! My favorites are beef brisket, chicken bulgogi, and bulgogi. I also really like the steamed egg, but it is not included in the all you can eat.

I rarely write reviews. I usually leave that to my wife. My wife and I love Korean food and have been wanting to try out this place for quite sometime. We were a little reluctant to go due to a few bad reviews and experiences from our friends. However, being business owners we understand that sometimes customers can exaggerate on their experience. However, experiencing this place for myself caused me to realize that customers are sometimes, if not always right. At least in the hospitality business where your job is to serve the customer with high quality customer service. With that said, the customer service was below average. I usually eat out for experience not because I need to get food from a restaurant. I can cook at home. Spending over $100 to get below average experience is something I will never tolerate and support.I have been to some outstanding Korean restaurants with great quality food and customer service. This restaurant will go down as one of the worst I have ever experienced. My wife and I will not be going back to this establishment.
