Price are a little on the high side but it's the best authentic Chinese skewer place I've had thus far in MD. Great flavor, solid heat on the pepper flakes. Tinfoil bbq also good. I'll be back to try other dishes

I have never in my life visited such a terrible establishment. I placed an order on the BeyondMenu website and promptly arrived at my pickup time, but the staff were confused when I showed them the order email and scrambling to find it. They had obviously missed the order but didn't admit it or apologize, just told me to wait 20 minutes. 25 minutes later, I go to check and the staff again is scrambling to find my order, and tells me to wait another 20 minutes! Like are you kidding me??! What did I wait for if no action was taken the first time they messed up?? The cherry on top of the whole experience is that I ordered from 'Mala Canteen" (which also has a separate pin on Maps) but the storefront is actually Friendship BBQ and they have another online ordering website with the exact same menu but everything is cheaper there, so if you insist on patronizing this ridiculous establishment make sure you order from there and hope they don't ignore yours as well.

Your restaurant need to update your hour info,it says close at 11:30 on google but you closed at 10

Well decorated Chinese restaurant. We ordered the 2 orders of lamb skewers, grilled pig feet, grilled fish. They were all very tasty. This restaurant is a little bit pricey. Plenty parking spaces in the garage and I think the first two hours is free.

The Worst Chinese restaurant in Rockville! Everything tasted the same: super salty and no flavor. Except the grilled pork feet tasted as sweet as desserts and the Cantonese styled chicken feet tasted as bitter as Chinese medicine.Ma La Tang came out as a bowl of soup instead of skewers dipped in the broth. The beef balls in it had an off taste that were not fresh. The only edible items in our $200/6 person were: salty egg yolk rice cake, deep fried pork strips, pork belly skewers, calamari skewers. They were very salty, but at least they tasted fresh and flavorful. We paid about $35 each among the 6 of us and were hugely disappointed. The menu on their website looks very impressive but is from the previous owner they say so of course not being offered at the restaurant . A lot of items on the menu they gave us were not available. No liquor license either.

Don't waste your money.

Could someone tell me if these two squids are the same thing? Very weak in flavor, too salty to taste any other flavors like cumin. We all know restaurants got hit during COVID, but this is too embarrassing. Recommend those in New York. Will not order from this location in several months hope they could improve …

Just like the other reviews good food small portions! Small warm clean place. They also don’t have a lot of staff so they get slammed quickly. Good spot to try

Drove 45 minutes to get here on Sunday evening, only to find it closed -- they didn't update their hours on Google. Gotta update your hours folks!

It’s much worse than Philadelphia and New York store as the signature lamb BBQ is only half of Philadelphia and New York at the same price. It’s very inconsistent as a chained store. Probably because local people didn’t have the chance to go to New York store so this store is taking advantage of that. Terrible business practice.
