We have been dining at El Patio for years and they never disappoint. Guillermo and Co. have continued to be passionate about their offerings and focused on customer service even after many years of excellence. Continuity is paramount in this business and you will find the same delicious quality time after time. This is a rarity in the restaurant world where burnout often occurs. No one does steak better and the wine offerings are very good as well. Vegetarian? No problem, the spinach cannelloni is amazing and there are corn, spinach and cheese and onion empanadas. Servers are generally charming and attentive. This is a neighborhood gem of a restaurant. On July 1st, we had El Patio cater our wedding rehearsal dinner for 80 people. Everything we love about the restaurant was brought to our venue seamlessly: the delicious food, the amazing staff and a good dose of charm as well. These guys are consummate professionals and compliments from guests keep coming even weeks after the event. We <3 El Patio!
Ok where to begin.....Here goes.....If you are a parillada fanatic I definitely recommend to try another place where your meat will have more flavor. Next, the last time I came here they served my daughter pasta with a piece of a metallic sponge; What was disappointing is that the manager just offered to bring a new dish. She didn't even offer to cover the dish or anything. Another reason I only gave it a one star is the service. I understand you are understaffed however a smile and good service won't kill anyone. Today is the last day I will be going....The waitress was rude and I waited over 15 minutes just to get a glass of water. Overall just disappointing.
Excellent food and service. We ate outside, and the ambiance was good (strip mall location). Kid had fries, chicken tenders and juice. Adults had strip steak (with argentinean sausage, chimichurri sauce, sweet potato fries and mixed veggies), as well as a specialty rice dish with steak, jalapenos and egg. The food was delicious, portion size generous, and the steak correctly cooked to the level requested. Service was professional and timely.
Completely ignored at the counter for a good 10 mins. A line built up still no acknowledgement. Went off to attend a table and finally acknowledged anybody. I understand it's busy but acknowledging someone is there at the beginning, is the bare minimum in customer service. Otherwise it just means you don't care about your customers.
Asado, or BBQ, is a ritualistic rite of passage for many Argentinians, not just a meal, but a ritual experience not done by everyone, but the most knowledgeable barbecuer. El patio brings that to Rockville. The most common cuts of meat like flank, NY strip, with the not so common cuts like Mollejas (gizzard; chicken organ), chinchulines (beef small intestine), all in a platter for you to figure out where to start first. The meat is prepared exactly to your preferred temperature; Paired with their house wines at 5 dollars a glass Pinot Noir, Malbec, or whites, you know you are in for a treat. Start with empanadas either baked or fried. You are in for not just a meal, but a rite of passage of what Argentinians call, Asado. If you are curious about Asado, check out Netflix's satirical documentary, "Todo sobre el Asado". You'll love it.Also, it goes without saying, I wouldn't recommend this place to my vegan friends.
A really nice place. Very humble interior, nothing too fancy. Wait staff was very efficient given that they were understaffed. Our wait staff was very helpful and sweet. The food was delicious and the atmosphere was chill and relaxing.
No recomendado mal servicio al cliente…
Not a good experience. It was cold inside the restaurant. 90% of the customers were wearing their winter jacket inside. According to the manager, the thermostat was locked and they did not have they to adjust it. That’s why they could not bring the temperature up. My table order 3 appetizers. 2 of them came out, but mine never did. I had to go and ask 2 waiters about it because nobody came to check if the appetizers were fine. At that point, I had to canceled. When my steak came out, the cook temperature was wrong. I had to wait again until they made another one while the whole table was already eating. First and last time.
Excelente Atención por parte del personal y un agradable lugar para compartir en familia
Nice quaint argentinian restaurant. Liked the family feeling of the restaurant. Ordered the steak and skirt steak. The skirt steak was well marinated but the ny steak was a bit bland. Overall it was good, would recommend
