Have to say that we chose this place randomly and thought it was really good. Flavorful dishes, only thing I have to say is that the dumplings had a thick skin but I still enjoyed them. Kitschy interior, loud and not-too-friendly staff, no problem though.
I was surprised that the dan dan noodle tasted so good ! The sauce is tangy and spicy and the noodle has a very good tooth feel. Cant get enough of the spicy dan dan sauce that I even dipped my dumplings in it. On the other hand, i kinda prefer dumplings that has a thinner skin but overall its still a satisfying meal and I can say its authentically chinese cuisine as it is.
We thought the Szechuan Style Handmade Noodles and the dumplings (especially the House dumplings) were pretty good. We got there at 5 and by the time we left at 7 there were a good amount of people waiting to be seated. They validate parking which is nice! I will say that for the servers, they are friendly, but they might be short staffed currently so that might be why they weren’t quick in attending tables.
This place is either a dumpling restaurant or a karaoke bar- unfortunately it is NOT a restaurant. We were in the area on a Saturday evening about 8:30- Er had checked the website and it said they served until 10:30. There is a large restaurant (closed), a smaller grill with karaoke TV screens and a Back room- (I am assuming it is a large Karaoke Bar) There were a few tables of couples , 3 servers and 1 bartender. They were doing a big Grubhb, uber business because the drivers were all waiting in the bar. We were seated in the grill and looked over the pretty large menu- a waitress asked for drink orders ( I had a scotch and water and my partner had a gin and tonic). They only had Chevis ($10 a drink) and both were very weak pours. We tried to order soup before our 24 dumplings but were told the kitchen was closing in 5 min we had to order quickly. All the food came together. We asked for some soy sauce- The waiter brought duck sauce, We explained we needed soy sauce and got 1 small container of soy sauce. My partner asked for a diet coke and the waiter said they were out of Diet Coke so we asked what else they had- he got mad at us and left. We never had any other service from the servers. Teh back room was getting alot of attention as were the delivery drivers. Now guests were still being served in the Grill and they were ordering more food. Did we look wrong or what? finally we were given a check so we paid in cash, left a 10% tip and left
food is not bad, but too spicy and greasy for my family, We have to drink a lot of water. I love their Karaoke service, we have family party over the new year, and it was so much fun, you can have your own private lounge and eat the dinner inside the lounge and dance and sing. Love the party over there.
I ordered the house dumplings and the portion was large but not so tasty. The pork lacked flavor and the noodle was made really thick unlike its delicate tradition. The utensils I asked for were missing.
Great food, but the servers neglected us for a while after we sat down. Food came quicker than expected and it was really good. The background karaoke not so much.
They stop serving vegetables at 9 pm. If you are vegetarian that is very important information. cause their dumplings are delicious. the home style tofu dish was very good as well. still sad that we couldn’t get any vegetarian dumplings.
All around good. A few northern Chinese dishes with good portion and flavor. The dumplings were very tasty though the shapes were much rounded than I remembered
Never again!!!! Price was high for what you get and flavor and quality is below average. The kabobs were the alright and the best out of everything I got which is disappointing as some street vendors in China make a better. And not to forget a mosquito in the dipping sauce that came with the terrible, super dry and little to no meat mainly just coated frying mix bao bao!
