This place used to be great before the COVID-19 pandemic. But over the past 9 months it’s gone from 5-stars to 1-2-stars. Food poisoning if you have food allergies is a major danger here now. The disregard for food allergy safety here now is absolutely unbelievable.A huge shame since we really enjoy the food here when they get it right but they have poisoned us three times in the past couple months by failing to pick up the phone so we can tell them of our food allergies.Their online ordering options no longer have a section to list food allergies or notes. They don’t even pick up the phone if you put in that extra effort to try to contact them to let them know. It’s a real shame because it has been our go-to for years. At the rate they are going they will end up closed down. Ignoring allergies leads to trips to the ER which leads to lawsuits because of negligence. Which in turn eventually inevitably results in a location shut down. Please get it together at this location. Might be time to hire new more attentive and safe employees @ California Tortilla - Rockville MD.

A terrific place to go for delicious burritos and salads. Staff very friendly. My only complaint is the music is staticy, but there's lots of outdoor seating, so you don't need to listen to it if you eat outside.

Very very good, also with the different sauces to add a little spice to your life. Small place but sweet people. Great to eat outside.

The burritos were tasty and the service good. Used coupons to cut the cost in half.

Ordered a family burrito combo and when I picked it up everyone was friendly and my order was correct. On time too! Thanks, will be back.

I ordered blackened quesadilla and got barbecue chicken, I returned it and got a half cooked dry NOT BLACKEND chicken quesadilla. Every single ingredient was dry the cheese, tortilla, chicken and the quesadilla as a whole. I only ate the amount I did because I spent $9 on it and couldn’t justify not eating at least a little of what I paid for. The people who I gave the rest of the quesadilla to all agreed that it tasted terrible and was dry.I seriously don’t know how they managed to make it this bad TWICE. If anyone plans on going to this California tortilla please reconsider and definitely don’t order the quesadillas

Food for me was terrible. Wife was good with hers. The staff is so afraid of COVID they won't/don't clean tables or anything else like the community spice sauces... SMH

They need to do better. Presentation is very important for anything over $10 - also, instant brown rice not a good approach when you are competing the likes of Chipotle and other competitors

I had the best burrito of my life

This location was closest to my hotel. The road that the restaurant is on has little to no parking. The spaces outside all have signs for 15min pickup. When we entered, there was no one inside except a gentleman milling about slowly. He responded slowly and seemed like any questions we asked were a huge pain for him. We ordered two burritos, ine with the chips and soda deal, three street tacos, and their Bangkok shrimp bowl. Pretty simple order. The guy missed the tacos. Luckily we noticed and ordered more, but the lady making them and the guy seems so put out by having to do work it really ruined the experience. It became cleR why it was only online orders coming in. The store did have a good amount of intelligent covid19 postings and guides. Beware, when you order the Bangkok shrimp there is so much cilantro that it makes your teeth squeak. Unfortunately to me it tastes like soap. The food was good, but customer service ruined it.
