Excellent service and food! We took a long time to order our food in a group of 4, and never felt rushed. They offered us tastings for different wines and we loved that!
Although we usually order takeout from this restaurant once every month or so, today was the first time my family and I dined inside. The food was excellent, and we had quick service by the waiter who was very attentive and polite. I had the manicotti and my wife and daughter both had the pasta with vodka sauce. We will definitely be returning in the near future.
First time here. Ordered the Bruschetta as a starter and was pleasantly surprised at how fluffy and crunchy the bread was, nor was it soggy. The bread basket was delicious as well. For the main course I ordered the Seafood Risotto, which comes with Jumbo shrimp. They were huge, 5 pieces for the whole dish though. I prefer more variety like clams and scallops as well, but it did the job. It was a little too cluttered- onions, tomatoes were too big, and mushrooms. It disrupted the soft texture I love in risotto but none the less was still delicious. My partner had the Lunch Eggplant Parmesan and let me try a bite and I much preferred that over my own dish! The marinara was light and delicious, and the eggplant was soft and not too oily with that satisfying breaded crunch. Can't wait to eat the leftovers at home.
I hadn’t had pizza in a while. I drive for a living, and crave good quality Italian food every once in a while. I read Baronessa’s positive reviews and thought I would give it a shot. I ordered their brick oven Angelo’s special pizza. When the food was handed to me I first thought it was a mistake. The box was way too small for an $18 dinner sized pizza. I looked inside and this \/ cute little guy peeked out at me. The pizza was hot and fresh, ingredients were quality as advertised. In terms of flavor and texture easily one of the better slices of pizza I’ve ever had. I understand that times have changed and costs are going up. It just seems like they could make a slightly larger pizza at that price point. I’ll be back, maybe try some other lunch offerings.
Our server was very nice and the food was delicious. I got the ricotta gnocchi and it came with a creamy tomato sauce topped with cheese in the center. Decadent and delicious. The serving sizes were really good for the price.
Stopped in while in the Rockville area. Super low-key place. Service was nice, ambiance was casual. The complementary bread was not great. That being said, got the margherita and mushroom pizza. They were excellent. Outstanding crust and tasted authentic. I would highly recommend stopping in for the pizza if you want quick, high quality pizza in a highly casual environment.
Ordered pick-up. Simply was not impressed by anything. The wait to receive the food was long. The dining room looks like they have made absolutely no adjustments for the pandemic. The food was only OK-tasting; the pizza dough was stiff and tasted unremarkable.I really wanted to say better things about the experience. Can't.
Great food! Their brunch prices are just hard to beat and their portions are dececent. They offer keto friendly options like culiflower crust pizza and zuccini noodles. I met the owner before, he showed me how they make their pasta from scratch daily. Their pizzas are pretty good if you are into thin gourmet pizza. I highly recommend it.
Ordered the pasta verde and a ceasar salad. The homemade pasta was delicious and the dressing on the salad was amazing...has a hint of horseradish (I think). The others at the table had seafood with wine and garlic sauce and manicotti and both enjoyed. A note..they must make great pizza as lots of folks were picking up carryout and leaving with multiple boxes.
The wings were good. They were different from regular Buffalo style and had a nice flavor and were cooked well. The pasta dishes were average. The pesto calzone was very heavy on the pesto but was cooked well and had a nice texture.
