I was feeling homesick for a simple meal with good balance, and Amore Eats made it all better. Authentically Taiwanese, the flavor and combinations were spot on. We ordered a few things online for pickup; one of our original items was unavailable and the owners called immediately to let us know. We ended up getting stewed pork rice bento, beef noodle soup, and sakura shrimp cabbage. All of the dishes tasted like what I would get at a local family restaurant in Taiwan - the meat was flavorful and not overcooked, the sides of the bento were lovely, and the cabbage with shrimp... super southern Taiwanese. Nothing was overly oily or salty.I'm glad that this is now an option in Rockville. To me, this is the most authentically Taiwanese flavor in town! I will return for the dumplings one day- seems like they are popular!
Most authentic Taiwanese food around DC that’s for sure. The stinky tofu was about as good, if not better than the ones in Taiwan I’ve had. We ordered braised pork rice, beef noodle soup, rice noodle stir fry and they were all great. Portion size is good as well. The staff is very friendly. There are limited seating inside but takeout seems to be more common.
This is the most authentic Taiwanese place in the area. Everything tastes like home (I’m from Taiwan). The service is extremely good and everyone there is super friendly. I’ve ordered beef noodle soup, salt and pepper chicken, Sakura shrimp and veggies, oyster omelette, intestine vermicelli and cod fish rice, every single one of them tastes like what I had in Taiwan growing up. I’d definitely recommend this place if you’re in the mood for Taiwanese food.
They have very comforting, authentic taiwanese food! I had the pork Knuckle Bento Box. They were extremely attentive and appreciative on top of the delicious food. And it was reasonably priced. Huge portions for $11
I rarely write a review but this Taiwanese restaurant made me honored to recognize it. I am so happy this restaurant is open, they used to sell pre-made frozen food packages and used to have a shop in an Asian market and now this location is very convenient to get to and have a lot of choices. All the food are authentic and it's the best Taiwanese street food in D.C. area. It's wonderful to have this gem in the neighborhood. This shop is clean and have a few seats, if you have a large group or young children it's best to order carry-out. I've tried 6 dishes from them and all have decent amount and quality food. Definitely worth to travel here for authentic Taiwanese food!
Authentic stinky tofu! The smell walking in made me so nostalgic and happy. Recommend calling to order ahead, they were out of a couple items I wanted to try. Will definitely be back!
At first I thought this was an Italian place based on the name but it is a Taiwanese restaurant. I ordered a pork belly bowl and was shocked that it was only $7! It was delicious and a good deal. I will be back to try other things on the menu

New Taiwanese food in Rockville, located In liberty gas. Owners are all Taiwanese and the food is amazing! We got the chicken steak: huge, juicy, pork chop rice: just like home, and stinky tofu: best that we’ve had in the area!
