as a full time delivery driver I often eat at and recommend restaurants based on 2 factors. How great the food looks and friendliness of the staff. I went into pick up a order and have often been curious about this place, however when I went inside to get the order I was greeted weirdly. As a safety precaution we have to show names of of the person so we can verify the order. The older lady who “ helped” me looks towards the orders proceeds to go to them, Rudely points at the names then yells them at me as if I was to stupid to comprehend that those were pick up orders for those specific people. No scene was made. I simply took the orders. Left and made note that this is a place that I will never eat at. I will make known my experience each time I’m asked. Drivers could soon become customers, watch how you act towards them.
This was my second visit, and it was overall very good. Both times they were fairly busy, but quickly attended to the customers waiting for takeout. I ordered the Hunan shrimp dinner combo with fried rice and hot and sour soup. I was not familiar with the slightly thick consistency of the soup, but it had a nice flavor with a little bit of heat. The Hunan shrimp was tasty and the rice was ok, a little bit softer than I prefer. I will definitely be back to try something new.
They have a great menu, hence way we went in the first place. However, their food is not the issue. We visit once or twice a month.The staff didn't even take into consideration that we were going to spend a lot of money on sushi, meals and drinks.However, they were concerned because my daughter who is on the spectrum had Chic Fil-A and only eats certain things and is very, very picky eater at the age of 22. Any parent that has a child on the spectrum would understand how hard this is to get their child to eat food period.We were asked to leave, so if you have a child on the spectrum this is not a place that will accommodate your child/children.
East West Bistro has a wonderful brunch. Fresh fish, scallops and shrimp are usually in the entrees. Sushi selection and wonderful desserts. I would add some wall coverings to dampen the sound. Also TV showing infomercials istotally unnecessary.
Always good food here. Just got another beautiful poke bowl with my favorites shrimp tempura and salmon. Very nice staff and quick pick up.Mmgoi sai East West ?
Been trying different restaurants in Pasadena and finally got around to trying East West. It was a great experience. We ordered egg drop soup and it came in a nice sized bowl and the noodles were fresh and crunchy and the soup was great. We split a couple appetizers. The tempura shrimp were perfect. For dinner I went with sushi - got the volcano roll, it’s fantastic! Wife ordered Mongolian beef and it was a huge portion and cooked just right. Can’t wait to come back for Sunday Brunch!
My favorite place to eat. Absolutely wonderful staff, always quick to greet me with a smile. Favorites are Singapore Rice Noodles and Hot and Sour Soup. Has become a guaranteed weekly stop for me, sometimes twice a week. Quick service, great food, hard working staff... win, win, win.
The front lady is absolutely insane! She accused me of stealing food, ripped the bag of food out of my hand, yelled in my face, and made a huge scene over me doing my job. Door dash??? absolutely do not recommend even stepping foot in this place. No apology, no realizing oops she’s just doing her job, nope just pure yelling, aggression, lack of personal boundaries, and couldn’t accept she was wrong. Good luck to whoever runs that business.
Was recommended to try this place. I can confirm it is very good. I love sweet n sour chicken and I tasted things in their sauce that I never have at other Chinese food joints. Aromatic with a subtle hint of spice and fresh ingredients. Same this with the egg rolls. Fried rice also extremely good. I can confirm this is one of the best Chinese places.
Delicious and quality food. Love treating the family to the variety of excellent dishes they have. We've loved every dish we've gotten from them and their sushi is our daughter's favorite.
