Great place for oysters and quick bites! Had 3 of the Sweet Jesus and 3 blue point oysters. Sweet Jesus definitely it’s better! Also had shrimp fettuccine and half bake chicken and fried calamari, Caesar salad, cream of corn and potato and leek soup, and grilled zucchini’s also had cheese mashed potato.. it was way too salty so swapped for cream of corn. Our server Miguel from west coast was mad cool! he provided exceptional service. If it wasn’t for the salty mash potato, would of have 5 stars. Our next table had the full fried seafood platter for 65 bucks it seemed well worth it. If next time in National Harbor will def stop by again for beers and oysters and other fried seafood.
Everything except one item was flavorful, perfect, and delicious!! The coconut shrimp were the largest coconut shrimp we've ever had (and we visit a lot of seafood restaurants)!! The salmon, vegetables, and mashed potatoes were perfection. Salmon is my favorite fish and I've had it at many restaurants. It was not overcooked or undercooked; it was juuuuust right! My husband and our friend (visiting from out of town) said the hush puppies and calamari were delicious. Our friend also said her strawberry and goat cheese salad was delicious and she could see why her colleagues had recommended this restaurant. We wish we didn't live 2 hours away from this place so we could eat here more often!!!
We sat at the bar and were immediately greeted by the bartender who brought us waters. We ordered the crab cake sandwich and we were a little disappointed that they had very little flavor. Great selection of oysters, beer and margaritas.
Favorite new happy hour spot!! And it isn’t for the drinks (even though they are delicious too)!!The absolute star of the show is the mussel pot!! I dreammmm of the coconut basil sauce that accompany them. I can’t even begin to describe it!! You must simply try it for yourself.Everything on the happy hour menu is a steal! Wild oysters are $1.50 per oyster, as are the wings. The poached shrimp are $1.75 per shrimp. Mussel pot and deviled eggs (topped with fried oysters omg) are $6.50 each. There are other things on the HH menu as well that I haven’t tried. I’m sure I will at some point. I’ve already been two weeks in a row and already have a third week set up with friends!
Went early for a Saturday night dinner. Contrary to many reviews, service was good. Fried oyster appetizer was OK. Breading a bit overwhelming. Delicious sauce. Shrimp Fettuccine and Spiced Rockfish were fine, but nothing special. Overall, more expensive than it should be.
WORST HOSTESS EXPERIENCE I’VE EVER HAD. We were a walk in last night and I asked the hostess if a reservation was needed to eat dinner. She replied, “We can’t take a walk in right now and even if you had a reservation I couldn’t seat you.” No explanation was given as to why or what this meant. Then as we stepped back to regroup and figure out where to go next (it was cold out so we wanted to figure out where to go before leaving) two young girls walked in and asked for a table and the young host grabbed two menus and started to seat them. I asked the girls, “Do you have a reservation?” And they said no. I asked the hostess why they were seating this 2 top without a reservation when we were denied a seat, and then she very reluctantly told the girls she couldn’t seat them and the host looked very confused as he was ready to walk them to a table. The hostess then very rudely told us to leave the hostess stand area. Again, we were trying to figure out where to go next before stepping back out into the chilly air but we did move aside. Then the host started to seat another young 2 top and I also asked them if they had a reservation. It was obvious they did not because they just stopped and stared then looked to the host like “what do we say?” The hostess then started pointing at us and whispering to another hostess who got 2 menus and came over to seat us. Maybe she thought I was going to stand there and ask everyone she tried to seat if they had a reservation. I am here for a conference at the Gaylord convention center. My husband and I were both dressed very nicely and we are a middle-aged white couple. Both of the two tops that were offered seats were young people of color as was the hostess. The only thing I can figure is we were not being seated because we were either middle-aged and or white. After we were seated by the other hostess, the original rude hostess made her way over to our table and continued to be aggressive and rude. She eventually walked off when I restated our experience was that we were denied seating but the next two 2-tops that walked in were offered immediate seating. The table service was good and the food was also pretty good. I had the crabcake and the macaroni and cheese and my husband had fish and chips. But honestly, in all of my 49 years, this is the absolute worst I have ever seen a hostess treat any guest. I’m sure that this restaurant thrives and survives on tourism but if they depend at all on repeat business they need to get rid of this hostess immediately. I can’t imagine having someone with this poor of interpersonal skills being the face of your business to guests. This was our first restaurant to go to after un-packing our bags. What a welcome to the area.
Be sure to make reservations or you would have to sit at the bar. The place is lovely spacious. Everything down to the oyster is fresh. Definitely will be returning.
Outstanding dinner and experience overall! We were seated in Mo’s section and it was hands down one of the most memorable and fun meals we’ve ever had. He had our two boys laughing hysterically. Following dinner, they asked when we can make the seven hour trip back to National Harbor to eat here again. If I could rate it higher, I would.
The restaurant is very noisy and crowed. Service was Ok but quite expensive for what you get. To many different restaurants to go to. Oysters were very good.
Enthusiastically, we went there after a productive professional day in DC meeting with the nation’s leaders. We respectfully requested a table. They saw I was wearing a sweater on this chilly night with the Puerto Rican flag. They insulted me to the point of not wanting to sit us. Unfortunately, they were all minorities displaying these attitudes and behaviors. Happy to take my money somewhere else.
