It was just what I needed when I needed it. Not sure that all of them only offer one size of fry, but get two if you like the fried potatoes, like me. Also, the burger patties were giant. I had to eat the patties down to match the size of the bun, which is a great thing! I was at The National Harbor when I ordered on this day. It hit the spot.
Very mediocre food and service at premium prices. Shakes were Burger King quality but not value. Burgers were greasy and grisly - it's clear they only use the lowest quality ingredients. Lemonade drink was horrible - levels of undrinkable I haven't experienced since Boy Scout Summer Camp bug juice. To add insult to injury, they don't even publish the prices on the menu! Insanity.
The fries are truly outstanding and done perfect every time! Chicken sandwiches & Chicken tenders are very good. The quality of the meat in the burgers are not lean beef so therefore have a rubbery fatty texture when chewing. The shakes are always done to perfection!
The food was okay. The cashier took the order and didn't seem to be very thrilled to be at work. They made my shakes and called out the wrong name. The name on my receipt was correct but the name on the shakes was for someone else but were what I ordered. I did not order anything special, so I did not think much of it. I tried to get the attention of the employees to ask after noticing this and everyone acted like it was a bother to speak to me. After finally getting one to stop. I asked if there could have been a mistake and another looked and said that particular person had been gone and has his drinks. No apology and no thought to possibly give me fresh drinks since those had sat about 5 minutes. When my food did come up the person made sure I knew it was mine but gave me a look of displeasure. I've worked in customer service and even managed a food establishment before, so I know they things expected of food service workers.
The chicken sandwich and service were both very good. We were really craving root beer floats but they were out of ALL ice cream and couldn't make any shakes. Thought that was unfortunate for a place called Shake Shack. So we just ordered 2 root beers. They were out of root beer, too. Welp!
Would rate 0 stars if it were possible. Customer service and sense of urgency are non existent at this location. Never received a proper greeting or even acknowledgment prior to placing our order. I ordered 2 burgers and 2 fries ( a fairly simple order for a BURGER place considering that it was not even busy at the time). After waiting for about 10-15min and noticing people who ordered burgers after me getting their food, I checked the status of my order. The employee stated that they were still waiting for one of my burgers. I then proceed to wait a few more minutes and began to notice multiple employees standing around and even 1 had the audacity to be eating candy in the kitchen. At this point, I asked for a refund in which the manager processed, but not once did the manager express genuine concern for rectifying the root issue. Very poor example of a service driven establishment. If you’re looking to have a real Shake Shake, unfortunately this location is not able to provide that.
Love Shake Shack. Had a staff member even ask me if my name was spelled correctly for order. I dont make a big deal about it, but it was nice. Love that they do specialty flavors like truffle fries or Buffalo and hot honey. Keeps me coming back to try new things. I dont know if they do the sakura shake anymore, but its amazing.There are still times when the staff can be forgetful, so I have had a few incorrect orders. I've had more food than i ordered, less food than I've ordered. It all depends on who is working that day. Service can be a mixed bag. I'd like them to improve on their consistency of service.We had an experience where a worker is arguing with my brother about what he paid for and didn't get. We didnt run out of restaurant with food...the item wasnt in his bag..I watched him turn right back with his issue. Never been disappointed with the food though.
Shake Shack location inside the MGM National Harbor casino. In this case, I was a little disappointed with the avocado and bacon burger. The taste of the meat was excellent as always, but in general, the presentation of the burger was not up to expectations.They also forgot to include one of the soft drinks that we requested, although they did not charge it either, we did not claim it again because the staff was not very receptive to understanding our poor English and we did not want to go through that awkward moment again.Other Shake Shacks have treated me much better, and I have even been able to express myself in Spanish.
4.5 stars for taste and 1.5 stars for service is how I got to 3 stars overall! The staff is not friendly, the time waiting for food is normal but when they call you name, it's not loud enough and isn't repeated so your food sits in the window and gets cold.
Hamburgers are tasty, but seem a bit small. The mushroom only ~burger~ is kind of a snack. Fries are very good.
