Dear Olive Garden ,My son and I had many things to do yesterday, some were not pleasant but had to be done.We spent many hours in the car, and as you know, that can be annoying at times even in the best of circumstances.I was on the verge of tears almost the entire day and it seemed as if when the wind blew I would cry. When evening came and we were through with the things we needed to do we were very hungry, and since we always love your restaurant we looked to see if there was one in the area close by.We found one that was only a few miles away and were quite happy to be able to get in without a wait. This restaurant was in Owings Mills , Maryland. We were seated by a tall attractive young man whose name we found out was Alvin Johnson. We ordered and I could not keep my eyes from tearing up throughout the entire dinner. Every time the tears would fill my eyes Mr. Johnson was back at our table, with a lovely smile, with respect , with charm and professionalism that you seldom get with any server. I didn’t have time to cry; he was that attentive. He seem to anticipate what we might want or need throughout the entire meal, sometimes even before we knew it ourselves. He was so kind and just full of genuine warmth. This world has turned into an ugly mess it seems, full of hate and division. This young man should be an advertisement for everybody to know what’s possible if people are just a little caring to each other. Most people don’t realize that they can have a profound impact on people they don’t even know in a very brief period of time. Mr. Alvin Johnson is certainly one of those people. He kept me from being sad, and in that very brief period of time he made my life so much better, in the life of my son as well. While I have your undivided attention I might as well mention that I asked to speak to the manager while we were there. It was great to tell him how wonderful Mr. Johnson was and how helpful he had been throughout the meal. We were both so surprised to find out that the manager was just as charming as Mr. Johnson was. I’m sure he had other things to do that were much more important than listening to an old woman and her son talk, but he took the time to listen and was genuinely appreciative. He was very proud of this young man himself.Your food is really good and your restaurants are very fun to go to. My granddaughter even had her wedding meal at one.Yesterday was a combination of perfection with the food and the service and the genuine care of your staff.Thank you Olive Garden for a wonderful experience, and thank you wonderful manager of the Owings Mills restaurant, but mostly thank you Mr. Alvin Johnson for a meal that will always be remembered.Madeleine and Hunter Smith .
One time we got it for takeout during the pandemic and it was extremely lack-luster and tasted rubbery, however, overall this is a great location for family meetups and bread sticks cause, let's be honest, the bread sticks and the mousse cake are the greatest things to come out of a kitchen. Don't get me wrong, their pastas are very good, but those bread sticks thooo...Friendly servers with great recommendations and fast service is just the cherry on top.
We went during our work break for a relaxing meal. We had had a very trying week and it was a nice place to go and chill. The waiter Diamond was awesome and the food is always decent. We had asked for a table and were seated awaiting our food when a group of elderly women came in. Apparently they play mahjong or something there a few days a week. They were very upset that we were at "their" table and went to complain. When told they had no reservation and couldn't for their small group, they continued to sit at a table by us and complain about us being at "their" table. It was incredibly uncomfortable and they were very rude. It made our moment of relaxation feel stressful. Olive garden, you don't need customers like that!
Our server Lonna was excellent and the food came out hot and fresh. She went above and beyond to please my family that evening on February 12, 2022. Myself, my wife and children really enjoyed the dinner.
Excellent services from the Chef to the waiters. Food was more than delicious!! Best place to reserve for a special events. Thanks to all of you for accommodating my family and friends with outstanding services!!
If I could give it 0 stars I would. First off I work at olive garden in nc and the soup I ordered didn't taste right. Then my noodles weren't cooked all the way they were hard. I got my discount and then paid for my meal. She never brought me out my change when I paid in cash then asked me if I wanted my change then brought me out 20 dollars when my change was only 12 dollars. On top of that the manager seemed like she didn't know what she was doing when she looked at my work account to give me my discount. Worst place I been too
I hadn't been to any Olive Garden Restaurant in years but what a pleasant return it was. Whoever managers this location (Owings Mills, MD) is doing a great job. From entrance to exit my dining experience couldn't have been any better. The service and food were stellar. I had the Tour of Italy which was better than I remembered. The Green Apple Moscato Sangria was also heaven in a glass!! For a Friday evening, surprisingly, the restaurant wasn't very busy, which made it a bit more desirable for me to dine in (Corona V. is still out here y'all). Bonus: Our waitress Amara (hope I got the spelling right) was so friendly, polite, attentive, prompt and professional.
Nice little family feel. Service was a bit slow but overall the food was good.
Seating wait time was a bit long but our waiter Dontae was so attentive and on point. Food was DELICIOUS my daughter enjoyed her birthday and the whole experience. We will definitely be going back to this location for the great service and food.
First time I visited this Olive Garden and it was a really nice experience. Dylan was our server and helped us with options that were cost efficient yet filling and I felt like he was happy to help us. He was a really hard worker and you could tell he loves his job. Great experience, thank you, Dylan!
