Just left here for a early dinner with my family. Service was fine, food on the other hand, was terrible. We have went to other La Tolteca restaurants and have never had such a bad experience with food quality. Will not visit this location again!
Our favorite spot for Mexican food. Their enchiladas are amazing! Great chips and salsa. I would highly recommend their fresh guacamole. It’s definitely worth ordering. The staff is friendly and the service is always good.
Yesterday was Cinco de Mayo, the joint was jumpin'. Service was slow, but it is everywhere in America. They used every nook and cranny and square foot to accommodate people. The DJ was a GREAT addition to the day. It made the wait so much fun! We gonna ?? on the bartender, the drinks were not consistent. The food was soooo tasty and the chips were fresh with the Salas bite! Unfortunately the guacamole never made it to the table? Looking forward to going back and enjoying the vibe!
So we arrived at 4:30pm hungry and ready for food. It was Cinco de Mayo and had arrived before the resturant filled up with other diners. Other than conversations from other diners, it was not overtly loud. While we understood the wait would be a bit, nobody served us for 20 minutes. Then the loud music began, blaring from a speaker. Not even Mexican music but just way too loud in any case!! We asked for a different table after repeatedly asking to move, we were taken to another room, yes quieter, but nobody came back to check on us. Nothing but crickets... Silence. So we left hungry and tired. Not going to repeat that ever again!! Businesses need to pay close attention to customers else they will lose funds. My first time there became my last.
I can honestly say this was probably the worst bland Mexican food I have ever eaten in my life. I had to actually season my food and put it in the air fryer. I actually ate my whole meal sadden and disappointed. I never had spaghetti sauce on Mexican food before . My whole meal looks like something my toddler made. And the food just tasted old, If I wanted real food I would have just made Mexican food myself . Idk who was in the back cooking with a blind fold on & not a care in the world. Note to everyone. Don’t go into a place that’s completely empty ! Even the chips were nasty & I never ever in my life write reviews.I don’t even know why this place is open honestly . I feel bad . I’m actually very upset I keep coming back to add more to my review.
Fantastic Mexican food, great service. Good stop off point from BWI back to PA. Will definitely be going here again.Awesome relief artwork at table that engage kids and are good ambience to boot.(Yes that is the ‘kids’ meal)
It's different when you eat food because you like it and because you brought it. The guacamole was too limey and salty. The Chicken on my food was salty. I didn't get my tostada even though my Husband corrected them. This is definitely a 1 and done situation as I won't EVER come here again
I’ve been a customer at Tolteca in cockeysville for years, never a single complaint. I moved to Owings mills and started going to that location. The last FOUR times I ordered there it’s wrong. I have to check the bag each time. If you call and tell them what happened, there’s no explanation or offer to correct the problem. I waited a year to go there and give them another try and they messed my order up again twice. It’s my fault for going there again. I’ve never left a review for any restaurant ever but they don’t care about them messing up orders and it’s infuriating. Also won’t be ordering there because 2 of the girls working there don’t wear masks. Check your order in the restaurant if you order Togo.
We had a harrowing day and didn't feel like cooking. La Tolteca was clean, the food tasted great, and the prices are quite reasonable. All the staff appeared to be following proper safety protocols.
Great options for food. I was visiting family and we got great options for food. We did enjoy the food and the customer service. The prices are good and are in a good location. Food is not salty or super spicy, is about right. Would recommend it to all family and friends events
