I have been here several times, & where do I start? First, I'm not Vegan & came here with my daughter & granddaughter. Everything is amazing!!! Shrimp Po Boy Sandwich-Bomb, Brown Stew- Girl Yaaas, Banana Pudding -Shut Yo Mouth, Yam- Yamean, Street Corn-Took me Out!!, & Hibiscus Tea-MmmmGood.!!! Service is Amazing, and Staff is ON POINT. I will be going back!!!
The place looks very inviting from the outside. Inside, there's all sorts of herbs, teas, books that can have you browsing for quite some time.I ordered 2 items, the mushroom sandwich and the street tacosThe presentation was great, packaging was nice and kept all the juices/items intact.For my taste, the fried mushroom had way too much breading. I could barely see or taste the mushrooms. And for my taste, to salty. I would love if they offered another version. . . healthier, without all the breading. Otherwise, the sandwich and the spread was very fresh and tasty.The street tacos were super Yum, but again slightly too salty for me.I really want to love this place. I'll try one more time.
This was my first time eating a Vegan Cheesesteak sub but I must say it was absolutely delicious. The banana pudding was out of this world. Thank you Hue Cafe & Apothecary for a great experience.
I'm not vegan but went with my vegan daughter yesterday and was very impressed with the unique selection of options. We ordered the shrimp po boy, the chic and fungi (pictured), and the shrimp tacos. Their specialty drinks are also delicious and beautiful. (The hibiscus tea is pictured) The shrimp in the Po boy really tasted like shrimp as did the fried mushrooms in the chic fungi taste like fried chicken! The tacos were also delicious with a mouth tantalizing blend of flavors. Will definitely go back!
They have such unique dishes and it’s so refreshing. Everything I’ve tried is delicious, and the banana pudding alone makes it worth the drive for me.I’ve gotten food from them 2x now. The 2nd time, they gave me pasta instead of rice and I didn’t realize until I got home.?❌ Cash not accepted ??? I requested for no utensils & plastic bag and they honored that request.
The people are amazing and the food is absolutely amazing! The restaurant itself is clean and welcoming. All of the lattes, teas and concoctions are wonderful! They have a full service apothecary with tinctures, advice and ideal offerings. Highly recommend this place!
Wow!! This place is awesome. All plant-based, flavorful, and the vibe is so fun. I tried the tacos, grits, sweet potato pie, maple bacon… all were delightful. I will be frequenting this place regularly.
