Staff were nice! Food was DELICOUS!!!!! The spouse and I ordered the Cowboy Burger and the Buffalo Burger, cut them and shared halves. They were so good! We couldn't decide which one to try, so that worked great. You have to try them both, and I'm pretty sure the Buffalo Burger will be your favorite! Very cool place and I'm glad we stopped by! Kids meals were good portions.
We've eaten here many times over the years and have usually enjoyed our meals and service. This time wasn't a good experience. The waiter made a lot of mistakes with orders and even forgot to bring us drinks that we ordered. The food was average at best. One of the orders was brought out ten minutes before the rest of the orders. I wasn't even able to get what I originally wanted because they didn't have the ingredients to make it (turkey, avacado, bacon club). Very odd. I like the original GT and I hope this was just an off day. Please don't allow this review to sway you from going there. It's usually a great place to eat. I'm just not accustomed to this type of experience at GT.
Terrible experience as quality and quantity are down. Burnt steak on sub and cold onion rings. Won’t return next time here.
Odd experience. Arrived around 10:00 PM. Hostess seated us and gave us menus. We waited about 10 minutes for the waitress which would've been fine if she didn't tell us we were given the wrong menus and the grill was turned off for the evening...Say?? Huh?? To the hostess, seriously you had 1 job ?? anyway we left so I can't comment on this location's food however the Green Turtles I've gone to have great burgers typically.
Had the Jamaican Jerk tacos and they were so flavorful! Was impressed with the fries as well. Nicely seasoned and crispy.I only have it one less star since it grossed me out just a little with how dusty the place was above where you eat. The clothes and air vent had thick dust on them. Our waitress was just ok. Nothing too exciting to mention.
Solid bar experience in Ocean City, and one of oldest operating bars in the resort town. They have all sorts of nightly in-season entertainment during the week. The food is really good, and we always get our shrimp here. They also have really good crushes and for some reason I always get stiff drinks, so I would say that's a toast to their keen bar staff. I've been patronizing this place for over 30 years and it's great to grow up with this place and to know that when I hit the beach, I can expect to find the original turtle there with me.
Service wasn't great. I ordered a build-your-own burger, well done with fries. I had to ask for the fries because I got a bag of chips and the ketchup bottle was empty. They didn't put mayonnaise on my burger and it was more than well done. It was dry and disappointing. Overall, I wouldn't go back there.
I love Green Turtle, but have never been to the original location. My goddaughter also loves them so we decided we had to give the original a try. Service was fast and friendly. I have to say the crab dip was not up to par. It was not well mixed meaning you could see the white cream cheese and the crab meat was lacking, how're it was still good just not what it usually is. However, the burgers, Cowboy and Spicy Jack were the outstanding! Cooked as ordered, thick and juicy which harness the 5 stars. Of we had to go next door to the apparel shop and get tshirts.
Small parking lot. I ordered a draft beer and the beer and glass had an odd odor, maybe from cleaner used in the beer lines or glass cleaner. I’m a member of their turtle rewards program and had a free appetizer, which I showed to my server up front along with my military ID because they give a military discount. I got the blackened tuna appetizer, which was unimpressive. It was barely “blackened” and the junk iceberg lettuce on the plate only cheapened the dish. Meal was chicken imperial, which the menu listed as “two chicken breasts.”. It was one tiny dry chicken breast topped with a very thin layer of crab dip and provolone. Mashed potatoes were out of a box and dry. I asked for gravy-none available. Veggies tasted like frozen which were microwaved. Avoid this junk meal that is way overpriced at $23. When bringing my check, server said he could not honor the free entree because this original location is “not part of the franchise.” He quickly walked away. I also discovered he did not apply the military discount and I could not find him to address it so I left in disgust. Never again at this location.
I was refused service! I was a big fan of this restaurant. I grew up here and always stop by when I' am in town to get crab dip. I stopped by today, 11601 Coastal Hwy ,was given a menu and told to order at the bar by the host. A waitress behind the bar ignored me and then the bartender asked me for my order. The same waitress told him that they couldn't do any take out orders because the kitchen was busy. I have never heard that before. The website says curbside pick-up. Aside from the host, I was the only black person there.
