Stopped here for breakfast before going to the beach. Saw the sign about pancakes, had read the good reviews, we were sold. This place is huge! We were seated in the front but they also have an extensive back dining room. Service was fast, friendly, and food tasted great! Great portions for the price. I love ordering extra so I have some to take home, and the leftovers did not disappoint! I had the French toast, one of the omelets, hash browns, and scrapple. I'm from Central PA and they had the "good scrapple" here, better than back home. Will definitely be back!
Some people compare this restaurant to Denny's, but I don't think that's a bad thing. If you're with a group with different budgets and dietary concerns, this is a good place to go because they have a diverse menu that's not overwhelming. There are a few locations in OC, each with their own ambiance. They are usually staffed by students that are friendly and efficient. The food doesn't take long and is prepared well. It's also an obvious great place for breakfast. When in OC go thee to the Dough Roller.
The Dough Roller has that family feeling to it. The decor was warm and welcoming, staff was friendly and attentive. My family enjoyed our meals which was delicious by the way, I will return to this establishment.
To be transparent, my review is based on breakfast food. First, Dough Roller does not list their breakfast hours on their website, at least from what I could see, but Trip Adisor said they serve breakfast "All Day." We arrived shortly before noon, were seated and given regular menus, and had to request breakfast menus. Our server had to check with the kitchen to make sure breakfast was still being served before bringing us new menus. We both chose the crab omelet. The omelets were not good. They had a fishy smell, which fresh crabmeat shouldn't. I assume they're using canned or pasteurized crabmeat. The taste was not pleasant either. Shortly after we got our food, the manager screamed out to stop giving out breakfast menus. So beware, they may stop serving breakfast at anytime. Ask the host, or call ahead. Additionally, their pancakes, which they are also famous for, were not very good at all. They were rubbery and flat.
In the past, I thought that this was very good pizza. This tome, however, it was just average. The crust was very thin. Toppings were skimpy and tasteless. While our server was nice, when I accidentally knocked the pizza pan on the floor, he just looked away (as other staff did too) and we had to pick up the pan and slices of pizza ourselves. We will probably not return.
The waitress was great but they were significantly understaffed. Tables were not be bussed effectively in turn making people wait for table. This was not high season and there was not an unreasonable amount of people in the restaurant for the one make staff member to be so frantic. Otherwise good was good.
First time visiting a Dough Roller and the breakfast was better than I imagined from a pizza place!Our server was friendly and had great interactions with us. She was attentive and brought everything from drinks to the check fast without rushing us. We ordered the Seafood and the Country omelets. Omelets came with pancakes on the side so we ordered them with the fresh fruit toppers (apple & peach). The food came out hot in less than 10 minutes.To say the least the breakfast was great. The pancakes were slightly thin, but fluffy like diner style pancakes. The softness, butter, and airiness of the pancakes were perfect. I would return for breakfast and this made me curious to return for the pizza later in the day.
Everything was just ok. Pizza came out hot but there was nothing that made it memorable for me. My daughter loved her meatball sub, but everyone else had pizza and wouldn’t give it more than 3 stars. I would give the service about the same rating, and honestly can’t say I’d return.

Greeted and seated immediately, awesome service, great prices and friendly atmosphere that is really tolerant of children. Clean highchairs. Really good food.
