A short walk from our nearby hotel took us to this fine Mexican establishment. We were promptly greeted by the hostess, seated in a clean and inviting booth, and quickly approached by our server with menus and dinner recommendations. The menu was expansive! So many options. Finally, my wife selected a quesadilla and I choose a burrito. We didn't have to wait long for our meals to be delivered. Both were visually pleasing and served hot. Beyond tasty! The portions were beyond ample; had enough for lunch the next day. Overall, the restaurant exceeded our expectations and we'll definitely return next time we're in the area.

We love this place. We come and stay at the comfort suites JUST to eat at this restaurant! During COVID those margaritas to go were the best thing since sliced bread! We are actually on our way to oc right now!

Very good margaritas. Good food. Wait staff was helpful and made suggestions when asked. I had a very large burrito couldn't finish it all. Would definitely eat there again.

Anytime you visit Tequila Mockingbird West OC, I promise you will leave happy! With 500 Tequilas and Mescals to choose from and their signature Tex-Mex style menu, they have something for everybody. Great for kids, families and people of all ages! The entire staff is like family and only want their customers to have great experiences and feel as though they have joined the Mockingbird family. Whether you're an OC Local or just visiting for the Summer, Tequila Mockingbird West OC is a MUST to hit for lunch or dinner! If you haven't been, you are DEFINITELY missing out!

I have been going to Tequila Mockingbird in OC for 20 years. I tried twice now the West OC location and each time was an utter disappointment. The food is tasteless, the prices are too high and the service was good until it was terrible. The Queso and chips are good, I’ll give them that. The environment is also very different than the other location. I actually had to add salt to my Mahi taco which was also over cooked, who adds salt to a taco? Once the food was delivered we didn’t see our waitress again. We sat for 10 minutes after we were done eating, had to ask someone at the bar for a to go container and the check. They said they would send our server over as soon as they could find her. They had no idea where she was. I’ll stick to the OC location in the future.

Food is pretty good. Just a bit expensive for what it is. The service was good and friendly.

I really wanted to like this place. I went 2 times. First time I had the shrimp tacos and they were decent. But decent doesn’t equal the price I paid. Second time I got the tequila burrito and it had ZERO flavor. It was essentially boiled chicken with cheese wrapped in a burrito. Plenty of choices here in OC I would not waste $ at this place

Went this place got the chicken fajitas, it was not bad if you call it chicken, peppers and onions dish but don't call it fayeta unless you actually use fajeta seasoning! Please use Mexican seasoning in your cooking, that is why people go to a Mexican restaurant. Now, the margaritas were excellent.

Nachos were less than average pretty basic chicken was not seasoned beef was decently good was expecting better would recommend going somewhere else server was respectful and nice

When I found this place I really wanted to like it. Our server was nice and the food came out quick. However, the margaritas tasted like juice more then a margarita. The fajitas looked hopeful but after reading the menu, I was baffled to learn it didn’t come with rice or beans, or even guacamole or sour cream. I’ve never gone to a Tex/mex restaurant and their fajitas don’t bring that. You can, however, add it on for $6/$8. Isn’t that like standard? Anyways, after being disappointed about that, I decided to just get the beef tacos.. it was no better. For starters, you either have an option of 3 hard shell tacos or 2 soft tacos….?….. I went with hard tacos. It was so simple, bland, the rice was hard, the beans tasted like it was old and just reheated. And the presentation…. A mountain of cheese on top of hard shell store bought tacos. None of the members of my party found their food good. We ate a good amount of the food since we paid for it but we also didn’t finish nor take any home. I wouldn’t recommend this place. Not even for drinks.
