Dine-In is Available!!! Brought my wife here for breakfast on her b'day weekend and she loves it. The menu carries a lot of variety, the coffee was Soo good. My wife had the Satellite French Toast and she was just ecstatic over them. They were very large slices!! I myself had The Mess with sausage gravy. The sausage gravy was my favorite. The atmosphere is relaxing, and the staff are wonderful. This is our go-to place for breakfast every time we take a trip to OC.
Satellite Cafe has been a breakfast go-to for us the last 10+ years. Good coffee, nice staff, extensive menu (even after COVID when many restaurants downsized their menus) My only disappointment this visit was the paper plates and plastic utensils. Unless they are washing dishes by hand, don't dishwashers sanitize everything? Oh well, small complaint in light of all they do well. I was not disappointed in that they still had my favorite dish - altho a bit unusual- the Chesapeake Sarah. It is hash brown potatoes topped with eggs any style you like, smothered with homemade creamed chipped beef (I love that it's not salty) and sprinkled with Old Bay. There's no seafood, which we commonly expect with this seasoning, but somehow, it just works and it's delicious. Shout out to Vlad who has been our efficient server there for many years.
This place is an absolute staple when it comes to my trips to OC!No trip is complete until we come here and I get my Love Boat, which is the most delicious breakfast anyone can hope for. It's a hash of potatoes and bacon strips with two poached eggs, and a creamy cheesy hollandaise sauce. 20/10, I will never stop coming here. They were also incredibly kind and accommodating considering the Pandemic in that they allowed us to wait for outdoor seating, and provided plastic/disposable tableware for everyone so there is no risk of germ transmission!
This place seated instantly, our server was the sweetest lady who had great tasting coffee in hand and took our order right away. Our breakfast came out in like 5 minutes and the server was attentive to us the whole time, and she never let our coffee get low. Don’t get hung up on the throw away plates and utensils, this place gets food to you fast and it’s was really good. Restaurants are struggling for help, so this allows this restaurant to focus more on service and less on washing dishes. We drove past originally to go to another breakfast restaurant on the same side of the road a little further down, leaving after waiting a while to be seated with open tables and no one in front of us. 2 people got up and left that restaurant with menus still on the table waiting to order. If you want a great breakfast with fast with attentive service, this is the place. Wish I got our servers name, she was great.
Went there for breakfast.. it was so dark in there, it was hard to wake up! Service was extremely slow. The waiter wandered around looking lost. We asked for separate checks and apparently that's an issue, even tho we watched him separate the checks for the table beside us. His idea of separating our check was to divide the check up 3 equal ways, regardless of what people ordered. Just laziness.. it would have taken a whole 60 seconds longer to separate the checks appropriately. None of us will return.
Disappointment! Everyone has already said it.. the decor changed, the menu changed, and the staff definitely changed! Service was incredibly slow for mediocre food. And then to top it all off I watched a young girl come in and ask to order breakfast to go and was told by the owner that breakfast was over. When she asked if she could order lunch they said that lunch wasn't being served for another 15 minutes so for one half hour they play catch up because they're so far behind from breakfast.. you can't get anything to eat. She turned around and left.
This place is a disgusting the food is Trash everything served on paper plates, and cups . The waiter was cool the Manger is a Rude disrespectful human me and my Girlfriend went for breakfast because she was talking about this spot the whole weekend but we were not pleased so I said to the waiter this is Trash he said let get the Manger he came back and said you can leave very angry and then said don't ever come back!! I was like ????? we will never go back dirty little place needs to b knocked down .
Service was good breakfast was sub par. The sauce on the Spanish omelette was a mystery. It was greasy and nasty looking and tasting. Hash browns were nothing special, reheated out of a bag. We both got a headache after eating there. Wont be back.
Dining room was cute. Service and food was awesome. The coffee, though. Out of this world.
Great breakfast, friendly staff. Clean, family friendly.
