The food was incredible. The service was friendly but slow. I had to get my own condiments and boxes. I rarely saw our server. The chef was fun and interactive. Overall, was a nice experience.
If I could give zero stars I would. Absolutely the worst food I’ve ever had. It was nauseating. Items not cooked properly. Wrong cuts of meat. Tough meat. Lobster that tasted like dishwater. Our friends got sick and the place was dirty in health code violation ways. The sushi tasted like it was frozen. The texture was totally wrong. Avoid this place like the plague.
DO NOT GO TO THIS RESTAURANT. YOU'RE BETTER OFF EATING FOOD OFF THE BOARDWALK IN OCEAN CITY. My fiance, my friend, my friend's son, and I went to dinner at this "restaurant." The first issue we saw was that they didn't have noodles, only rice. The chef comes out to cook the food. This chef had a personality like a wet rag. Didn't talk to anyone. He messed up the other party's order and then the issues with our party just began. My Fiance's steak wasn't filet mignon and wasn't cooked properly. The lobster tasted like dishwater and the scallops had no flavor. My friend ordered the salmon and she asked simply to not overcook it. He may as well not have cooked it because when she finished, she ran to the bathroom to vomit. When she came back to the table, she said somebody defecated in the trash bin. I immediately asked to speak to the manager about all of this. The woman looks at me like I'm speaking in Gibberish. She comes back with the bill and only gave us 15%.discount. At this point my friend ran into the bathroom to vomit again. I asked to speak to another manager and this time a guy comes up to me. I asked him about how it would work if we need to take my friend to the hospital. He said that they would pay for it 100%. He then takes the bill and comes back and only gives us 20% discount. I told him if I get sick at this point it won't be pretty for Sakura. I then told him to take off the salmon and my fiance's dinner because she only ate one bite. I told him to stop giving us this stupid discount and take off the meals. I would strongly suggest not going to this restaurant and finding another one in the Ocean City area. Sakura, we contacted the health department in the local area to let them know of the food, filthy bathroom, and one of the faucets in the women's bathroom not working with no sign. This location is obviously not looking at their reviews and changing the way that they are doing business.
Its different than the Sakuru I know. I love the food and experience, the only thing I noticed is they use a fresh amateur chef for us ...I don't know why, But we loved the experience and the guy was full of fun. My kids loved seeing him cook in front of them. Sometimes its all about your kids and they do love the whole experience. Food is decent, for the lovely experience its fairly priced. Try it, at least you won't regret it.
We are a family of 4, and this was a reward for our 4 year old who loves the hibachi experience but specifically food wise the hibachi noodles. Not even an option so she left there hungry and disappointed in that way. There service was sub par at best I ordered an ice tea and it tasted like dirty dishwasher so I refused it sent it back and they tried to charge for it anyway. Waited 15-20 minutes for the drinks. Was a little difficult to get questions answered as the server spoke very little English. If seeking hibachi in Ocean City area travel farther.
We came in an hour and a half before closing, There were 3 tables being used so we have to wait for an available hibachi chef. Got seated, our orders were taken, like any hibachi restaurant we shared our table with others. When the chef came and reviewed our orders. The orders were mixed up by the lady that took it. The group next to us had there combos mixed up. And ours too. When it was ready to get served. Our daughter ordered white rice with her teriyaki hibachi chicken. She got her white rice, drink but no chicken was made because it was not added to the order. We ended up sharing my portion and my wife so my daughter can have dinner.
The food was good, the waitress who took our order was really nice, the person who cooked our food was really nice and friendly. Great experience

The staff was amazing and the restaurant was clean and orderly. Atmosphere was better than expected. My only complaint is the chicken was a bit overdone and the steak had more fat than I like. Other than that it was absolutely delicious! The sushi bar was closed unfortunately.
