Ok, coffee. Pretty expensive for self serve coffee pots. But maybe I'm not hip. The part that sells food is a separate restaurant with separate hours. So half thinks coffee is ok all day, the other thinks breakfast is till 3. I don't know what's going on anymore. Coffee was good just like coffee do. Plant based burrito needed salt maybe? They can't count bananas. That's an inside joke, they'll get it.
Look - this place is truly a five star joint despite my three star review. The Rise Up portion of this location has excellent black coffee, incredibly friendly service, and a clean/rustic/organic-hipster interior that I love. They have a cool merch wall, I even bought a shirt.I couldn't rate it higher because we came for breakfast and the Mad Eggs breakfast sandwich failed me. Maybe if you get meat on your sandwich you won't notice how the eggs are cooked overhard. I got double egg and the whites were burned and the yolks were chalky.We finished up by splitting a scone that the lady at the counter (who couldn't have been sweeter) warmed for us. The scone was moist and delicious.The specialty drinks other customers were getting looked great. Definitely come here for drinks, but plan to eat before or after.
Love this place! The staff are super friendly, the atmosphere is exactly what you want and the coffee tastes great. The food was surprisingly good considering the quality of food you’d expect at a coffee shop. I stayed in OC for 3 days and went every morning. Definitely worth a visit.
Wow! Super cool spot. Cool atmosphere and clean.If you're looking for an acai bowl this is definitely the place. Absolutely delicious! Granola was spectacular and the fruit was fresh. Definitely add peanut butter, it's worth the extra dollar.I was also excited about getting a latte with latte art since I've never had one before. The staff on hand weren't sure if they would be able to do it, but they did! Super nice touch from the staff and the latte was delicious.
LOVED Breakfast here although it was quite expensive. There is a hipster vibe here. I got a frozen banana coffee and I swear, it was the best coffee I've ever had. The food filled us all up, definitely recommend
I want to go back every day. The coffee was incredible and the breakfast burrito was outstanding. The place is clean, staff is very nice and helpful. I just wish we had one in Massachusetts
Great little place to get a cup of coffee. Terrific atmosphere and friendly service. A little pricey but worth it.

I called Rise Up multiple times over 30 minutes because I wanted to place a to go order. I realized I was cutting it close to the kitchen closing at 3. Each time the phone went directly to voicemail. I arrived at 3:04 pm. Multiple staff standing around talking. I gave my order as I was close and wasn’t sure if my clock was off a minute or two. I was told the kitchen was closed, and was asked if I wanted anything else. I told the staff. No that’s all I wanted and that I tried to call multiple times over 30 min, and suggested they check their phone line. I was told ok and staff went back to talking.
This is my very favorite coffee shop on the east coast. So welcoming. The coffee is amazing and so is the food. Highly recommend the cinnamon scones and the breakfast burritos.
