This review is based on my experience in July 2020. I'm posting this due to two recent reviews I made about pizza places at the Outer Banks. Prior to covid, in my opinion, this was the best pizza in OC. If it isn't now, that's a shame but staffing issues have taken a toll on just about all businesses. My family started going to Ponzetti's in the 1970's when they were on the Boardwalk and followed them when they moved uptown. I talk about how I love pizza in Pittsburgh, PA but when done right, I feel this is the best. Make sure to review it when it's been prepared at the restaurant and not the ones to be baked at home. I've not had any luck with those. Perhaps, get it as takeout (if you can phone through) and not go to the restaurant if they are having staffing issues. I'll provide a more recent update when I return in the future.
We have been coming to Ponzetti's for years and have always loved their pizza. 2 years ago, however, after covid started, their pizza seemed to take a step back and twice we were disappointed. We decided to give them another try this past weekend and are glad we did. The quality of the pizza was as good if not better than before. So happy they're back, and we highly recommend this place.
We’ve been staying in North OC for 3 years or so now for summer vacation & have only just found Ponzetti’s- what a shame because we have been missing out. Amazing real deal NY style pizza- thin, light airy bubbly crust, truly perfect. Very clean restaurant, friendly & fast service during mid week dinner time. Can’t wait to come back later this week before we head back home.
This place is a hidden gem in Northern Ocean City! The pizza is better than ANY other place we have been to in OC. Our server, Kendra was so great, made us feel like locals! We will definitely come back time and time again!
the pizza was so delicious and enyable. easy to place an order i ordered specialty pizza with 5 choices
A friend and I came to Ocean City for a work conference this weekend. We arrived late and were looking for a dining establishment that was open late. We found Ponzetti’s by chance and we are so glad we did. Good food, great service and you kind of feel like you have been there before. I highly recommend Ponzetti’s for a good time and a good meal!BTW- they have this wall of vintage beer cans, and I actually found one (Utica Club) from my hometown UTICA NY! We have our own brewery in Utica.
I had great baked ziti. It was simple but so tasty. Service was a little slow but it's totally understandable because it's off season and more help is needed. The prices are very reasonable, and the emoyees were very nice. I will definitely return to try their pizza which I hear is very good.

Great tomato and cheese pizza! It's hard to order the other items on the menu when you find the cheese pizza so heavenly. ?
So...awkward. So apparently their contact us page doesn't work and no one is picking up the phone but we found a bloody bandaid in our cheesesteak. To make it worse we didn't notice it stuck on the inside if the wrapper until halfway through eating it. I am at a loss for words and thoroughly grossed out. Will call tomorrow if someone picks up the phone.
