We ordered the Large. They were cooked perfect and were very full.
We recently took a trip to Ocean City for their Maryland Blue Crabs, especially seeking for bigger size! We called them almost everyday while we are in OC and on the 3rd day they finally got some XL in. Pretty unique ‘beach feel’ atmosphere as the tables are set on a bed of sand. Very casual and staffs and super friendly. We enjoyed the blue crabs, also tried the fried oyster sandwich which was alright.
On the Bay Seafood is a medium sized seafood restaurant on the main strip, with covered outdoor seating only. You cue in line, order at the counter, choose your table, get texted when your food is ready, and pick it up at a different window. We ordered a couple crabcakes, hush puppies, and a half dozen crabs. The biggest they had when we arrived, were med/large. The crabcakes were decent, not much in terms of jumbo lump, and noticeable filler, but still tasty. The crabs however, were as advertised, heavy with meat, and perfectly cooked. Would definitely return for the fresh crabs.
Great experience. We order 1/2 bushel of the medium/large blue crabs for take out. They give you paper to put down and mallets. This was our first time having blue crab. The flavor and quality was amazing. The staff was super friendly and helpful. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!
Cleaned and stuffed blue crab was soooo good and crab had plenty of meat. Shrimp were ? over steamed and under flavored.
We had the shrimp and scallops and both were delicious. There were many people enjoying crabs. We also loved their hush puppies. It is all outdoor eating and service is quick.
10/10 if you’re looking for some amazing seafood you need to run here! I’ve been coming with my family since I was a kid and now that I’m “grown up” I get to bring my friends to experience my childhood memories of their delicious & fresh seafood. I’ve never had a bad meal or experience coming here! Will always be my go to when I come to OC!! Thank you guys for being so awesome over the years! ( they’re open 7 days a week check them out! )
Good food we enjoyed it plus reasonable prices.You have to seat outside and it's open air.The place can be busy so plan ahead and be there before the opening hours.
Crabs are served up hot & seasoned, all sized the way you paid for them. Excellent! Spent couple hours at a picnic table picking hard shell crabs with a couple beers. Fantastic day! Maryland crab soup was also delicious. You will not regret the decision to go. Props to the owners, Rob & Rose!
We love On The Bay. We stop there every year for a big bag full of the best crabs you will ever eat. Dining "in" is open air. Staff if very friendly, orders are done quickly. Highly Recommended.
