On our first trip to Ocean City we went here with reasonable expectations based on the reviews. Many people seem to think this place is great but unfortunately we aren't among them. The service was below average and we waited for over 40 minutes (the cafe was not crowded or busy) for a tuna melt, grilled cheese and two crabby melts, which I would not think are complicated meals to prepare. Food was passable at best, the tuna melt came on an English muffin which was tough and hard to cut through with a knife and everything else was mediocre. Spending $75 on lunch for my family was exorbitant as I expected a lot more but sadly we all left feeling disappointed. Would not recommend.
Customer service was friendly and made it a point to check in on us throughout our meal. The food was delicious and huge portions. Prices were good. Highly recommend.
They listed gluten free pancakes but yet they didn't have any. I can say the staff was friendly but the food was just normal.
It was ok. The Chipped Beef Omelette was recommended to me. Found it small, bland, and boring. I've had better chipped beef at gas stations in the American West. The English muffin that came along with it was burned all along the sides. The coffee however was good. I was only one of two people in the restaurant in the early morning opening hours during off-season, so I would've expected a little better. I know people love this place, but it seemed overhyped to me. I would be willing to give it a second try, but with so many other places that operate with more consistency at the beach, do I really want to spend my money in a place that has already planted a seed of doubt?
Cute little breakfast spot with a tropical theme! Flamingos, mermaids, and aquatic paintings made a really fun experience for my 4 year old. We went on a weekday morning for breakfast and Service was fast! Definitely want to go back and try the smoothies.
We just got the cream chief beef and French toast. Firstly cream of the chief beef was not good because it was kinda too liquid/watery. Also French toast is literally same with regular bread with powder sugar.Employees are very good and smiley. Clean and quick service also.( Thanks Brooke )In total We can recommend this place for in terms of price and performance.
The first morning, we went because it was convenient to our hotel. The next two days, we returned because the breakfast was delicious. Try the red, white, and blue pancakes, with fresh strawberries and blueberries!
Love this breakfast/lunch spot. Fresh ingredients, friendly wait staff, outdoor seating. Visit here multiple times each visit to the beach. Wide selection/variety of items to choose from. Costa Rica coffee served. A must visit location.
We decided to have breakfast this am. Wanted something different from the regular egg fare. Resturant had inside and outside seating. Had the crab omelet. GREAT. The nicest server. The resturant was cute
Enjoy breakfast again at Malia’s Cafe. Cozy, convenient location right off the boardwalk. Try the fruit cup as it has a wide variety of fruits not just the typical din. Bagel with cheese, egg and turkey sausage was par and hash browns were not greasy or salty. Coffee was not great, very bitter but not Starbucks bitter in a good way.Serivce was prompt and we were well cared for in a moderately busy service level. We were seated quickly in a quaint corner near the kitchen. Atmosphere was pleasant with bright color schemes which had an ice cream parlor feel to it.Overall satisfaction achieved, would revisit and recommend.
