Before the pandemic, my family and I have dined here during our vacation with no problems and good service. This time we decided to carry out our meals and the service was average at best. The waitress, Marilyn, may have had a bad day but she definitely had a condescending attitude when we ordered our food. She made it seem like we were in the way ordering takeout and that we weren’t listening to her when clearly she didn’t care to listen to us. While waiting for takeout, we noticed she was super nice to the diners at the table than us. There were other waitresses around so it wasn’t like she was the only one working. What gives? Finally got the order through and the food tasted good, although overpriced for the amount we received. For one order, there wasn’t enough shrimp and grits to fill the bottom of the container! The overall vibe was very grim for OC and with the negative attitudes, it made sense why there weren’t enough customers coming in. We won’t be back, that’s for sure.
I really hesitate to review negatively but this was absolutely an awful experience. The workers were so angry and upset about being there. The attitude of our young waitress was so passive aggressive. She wanted to argue with us when we ordered original pancakes and a side of bacon- she served us packages stuffed with bacon ? We had a good laugh... The place needs AC, very depressing and the the bathrooms on the boardwalk are cleaner. I know it's hard to get people, but oh my lord no one is better than having the ladies that are on the crew now.
I am here now and wanted to leave my review before I left. The food was sooo good! Red velvet pancakes, very good. Sweet potato pancakes, amazing! Great service, friendly staff. One of the best pancake breakfasts I've had.
Great food! The customer service was lacking waiters forgetting drinks and food and barley stopping by our table. Kids menu was also a little over priced.
Our server and the pancakes were the best part of the experience. I had the crab Oscar and it had soft boiled eggs on top that I guess were supposed to be poached and had a sweet taste. The omelette had canned mushrooms just thrown in it. The chicken sandwich was just dry. It just seemed like no effort was put into making the food. They just threw it together and sent it out.
It was very nice to have breakfast here, in the open air, it wasn't that hot, however they have giant fans so you don't feel so hot; our waitress Diana was super nice, attentive and sweet. food too delicious. We really enjoyed.
Friday 6-24-2022!! My BLT Wrap, Fries, and coffee was delicious!!!Thank you for doing that for me since BLT wraps aren't on the menu!!Also our waitress was very nice and friendly!
We have been waiting to try this place all week! Wanted to try the Blintzes and they didn’t disappoint! Saw another review that mentioned a raspberry sauce but ours had blueberry sauce. Real blueberry not the fake stuff. The coffee was very good and the service was johnny-on-the spot with filling our cups and checking to see if we needed anything! Other selections look inviting also so I think we will be back to try them! Sorry forgot to take a photo.Stopped again on Friday morning and had the Eggs Benedict which was very good and the potatoes side was nice and crispy. Hubby had stuffed French toast with sausage and he said it was very tasty. Coffee is also very good, we don’t like real strong coffee, it was smooth and just right. Server was very friendly and attentive!
I ate here a couple of months ago & just remembered that I never left a review.. This was literally the WORST experience I’ve EVER had at a restaurant in my entire life.-firstly, as we walk in, we are so RUDELY and sarcastically greeted by the owner. He acted like he was sickened by our faces. Rude looks, sarcastic tone etc. (I can’t believe an owner would ever treat guests this way. As you can see in other reviews, we’re obv. not the first people who had dealt with this rude, despicable man)-When we finally get seated, (it took forever) our waiter was also so rude. Acted like he didnt want to be there and hates his job. It’s obvious that the general vibe in this place is so negative. I mean, I wouldn’t want to work there either.-after waiting forever, we finally get our food. This food looked more disgusting than the food you can buy from a gas station. I decided, OK maybe it just looks gross and taste great? Let’s try it… oh I was so so so wrong… It was absolutely disgusting. 711 has better food. I actually almost vomited on my plate because it was so bad. My husband shared the exact same feelings about his meal. We were sooo disappointed. We were starving and literally couldn’t even eat this food because it was so gross. I wouldn’t even feed this to my dogs.-minutes later, I see a freaking roach run across the floor by my foot. I almost screamed, but composed myself. At this point, I was DONE DONE & we quickly paid & left.-I will never ever return to this disgusting establishment with the most rude and undeserving workers. (It’s mainly the owner who’s the rudest tbh) idk how this place is even still up and running with roaches running around, absolutely repulsive food, and even worse service. I see they’re all closed and boarded up lol. Deserved. Sorry not sorry.
Oct 21 2021. Car drove thru restaurant from side entrance to the end of the other side! No one injured. Looks like a remodel is in the future.
