If you want good seafood in a nice atmosphere, whether on the deck or inside, Hoopers has it, but it will cost you. I'm not sure how they only got a $$ rating for price, but it's definitely higher. Today, the crab legs entree (2 pounds with one ear of steamed corn) was $61. Nothing is included such as a dinner salad or bread. Sodas are $3 with NO free refills. They sell you on generic plastic cup for $6 and the refills are free... today there was 5 of us, so that's $30 just for a soda. The wait staff is good and courteous. So it's a great place but you're going to open your walet.
Great atmosphere, Had the fish tacos one had about 2 oz of fish and one had about 1 oz of fish . My wife's fish sandwich was fine! Tasted good.
Came here for drinks with my bachelorette party after renting a boat next-door. So fun!!! And GREAT view! Orange crushes, steamed shrimp, and wings were our favorites.
I’ve been going to OC since I could walk and never have been here? What’s wrong with me lol Dinner was to die for! My lobster roll was so delicious and my husband loved his fish and chips and he ate the rest of our daughters dinner also! Service was super fast and so friendly and the place is so dang cute inside! I cannot say enough great things about this place! Definitely will be coming here every year!
We stop at the restaurant because we liked the outside decor. The crew was welcoming and inside decor was phenomenal as well. We ate too much and left satisfied. The view is beautiful and the waitress was very attentive to our wishes. Sea food is messy to eat and we had to crack open so many shells, but it was worth it. The only thing that didn’t require cracking was the excellent Caesar salad?
Hooper's Crab House had a nice atmosphere inside and a deck outside. The portion of food on the Seafood combination platter was very small, but tasty. I was disappointed because the all you can eat option included only steamed shrimp and steamed crabs. This was not a buffet.
My family visited Ocean City and we wanted to eat at pickles pub. We were told it was closed. There are 3 restaurants, the next one we tried (all same owner) was also rerouted, and we were seated at the most expensive of the 3. I could barely reach the chairs (literally jumped to get in/out. We had a waitress who, working for the most expensive of the 3, seemed in a rush, unattended the whole meal, we were trying to get a water and it was , obviously, too much to ask. She was very rude. The restaurant only had maybe 4 tables of customers, there was another waitress taking 2 of the tables. No possible justifications. The food was definitely not worth the price. That's a big NO for me.
It was ok... for the price i was expecting the crabs and lobster to be cleaned up before they were served but the disposables still were fully intact, guts and everything.... and seeing everything as it was, kinda made me lose my appetite. The taste was fair enough but as i said for the price i was disappointed....
Nice location on the bay. Service was excellent. However, the food lacked seasoning and flavor. Everything was a bit bland. The best thing I ate was the hush puppies. For the high price we expected more. We had a wide variety of entrees and everyone agreed. The flies and heat were also an issue, but perhaps something that can’t be helped on a hot day. I probably wouldn’t return.
Haven't been here for years. Food was off the charts, crab cakes are full of lump crab and delicious. Our server, Morgan was first class. Service was fast. Will make Hooper's a regular stop from now on.
