The restaurant was very welcoming and everyone so polite and courteous. The food was outstanding and plentiful. The view was mesmerizing and the atmosphere perfect for what ever occasion you wanted. I had a great night and hope to return for an other great dinner and evening.
The Hobbit was awesome!!! I can’t believe I was able to make a reservation for two on such short notice especially for an anniversary. I am thankful for that. I literally found The Hobbit on Google at 2-3pm max and we were seated at our table at 7pm. Superb food, table settings with an anniversary sign, candle as a center piece with a stellar view of the bay. My wife and I were just blown away. The food was so tasty and we were served very promptly. I cannot wait to come back and enjoy the experience with my wife as we were treated with the highest level of service. Thank you to the waitress Christina M that took care of us. Give that kid a raise!!!!
Special night out celebrating an anniversary. Staff was courteous and professional and our server (Gabby) was excellent. Dinner (salmon, swordfish, pork chops) were all excellent and prepared as requested. And it's rare I get a dessert out, but tonight was the exception. Glad it was. Would not hesitate to go back.
Excellent food and service (Luke was our waiter), an expansive menus with changing specials. Spacious, open and every seat has a great view.
Fantastic food and even more fantastic service. The workers here are an absolute delight. The food was absolutely delicious at a very reasonable price for the quality. We tried the lollipop lamb racks, some salad, duck breast, and braised beef short rib. They were all very good but I would say my favorite was the duck breast. The juxtaposition of all the flavors in their dishes was on point. The main entree food portions are also relatively large - it was filling. This restaurant was definitely the highlight of our trip and would definitely come back here again to try the other dishes. Thank you to the staff for making our dinner very enjoyable.
I’m speechless. My husband is a Chef. It is so hard for us to go out to eat and truly enjoy the food. We went to The Hobbit last night and had the most amazing experience. Finally a place that I can spoil my husband! From the front door we were greeted with smiles and sat quickly. Our server was very knowledgeable and friendly. The other team members checked in on us and let us ask a million questions. Chef Dan took a minute to come out and meet us. We had an absolute blast and the food was perfection- so perfect we already have a reservation for next week!
Hands down best dining experience of our lives last night! We had a rather large party of 16 because we were celebrating 2 birthday’s. Most of us are local service industry & others regulars & foodies. From the moment we walked into the establishment-the door was opened for us, greeted by smiling faces & were happily surprised to see some of “our regs” at your bar. When we sat down we were greeted right away for drinks, the water was refilled all night, there was never a dirty dish on the table-we were all in awe. Appetizers followed by our main courses with everything tasting better than the next. Our waitstaff included Gabi, Matt & Luke (I apologize if any names are a little off, but I think I remember, my Moscot wine was simply delicious) From our group text to work today we all could not stop talking about our wonderful experience last night. Thank you all from the bottom of our hearts we really, really loved & appreciate your service. Much love & respect & we will be back.
I am a self described foodie and a world traveler. This restaurant did not live up to the expectation of it’s rave reviews. My personal experience - if you are not a local, stay away - very pretentious and appeared to me that you will be unwelcome.
Everything was wonderful! Great atmosphere, delicious food and friendly staff. Five stars!
We looked forward to dinner at the Hobbit based on past experiences before the pandemic. Their menu is always interesting and the quality is very good. The first thing we noticed was the deafening wall of noise when we entered the restaurant. The large noisy bar area is in the same area as the dining room. We tried to get a table far from the bar area but actually the entire restaurant was noisy. This was their last weekend for this season, and manager said they may put in baffles over the winter to help the noise. We were glad he acknowledged that it was indeed very noisy. So only 3 stars based on our inability to carry on a conversation while enjoying dinner, and ending the evening with a headache from the noise.
