I can NOT believe how small these donuts have gotten. These are no longer the size of regular donuts they are mini donuts and not worth $20!! This used to be a staple of our visits to OCMD, very disappointing this time.
Donuts were amazing as always from here but I witnessed quite possibly one of the meanest, nastiest floor managers I’ve ever seen here on 7/20/2022. It was this older lady with white hair who we witnessed degrade almost every employee she was overseeing and then go sit on her phone minutes later while it was super busy in direct view of everyone waiting on their donuts. I do not understand how they had 5 whole employees who did not walk out on this poor excuse of a working professional.
Location was seemed so sketchy inside, it just did not give a good vibe at all. We did order 2 donuts, but they were SO small. I was shocked how little they were for the price, they also had a $5 minimum to use a credit card, thankfully I had cash but it seemed odd they only had a sign by the register..
For almost $2.50 a donut you would expect it to be large. These donuts where so tiny for their price but also did not taste good. I had the banana nut bread one which tasted bland and my husband had the French toast which tasted like a ton of brown sugar. We realized the worker wrote in permanent marker on the bottom of the box and then placed the donut in there. Totally not sanitary. The place also needs a good cleaning it’s filthy and put off my husband from actually wanting to try but i insisted because i heard so many good things. Duck donuts definitely beats this place. Will not be returning.
Donuts are delicious when they are open. Beginning of summer, we are there at 8 o'clock hours say 8 to 12, there's tons of people inside staring at us, not a single person comes and says we aren't opening for another 20 or 30 or an hour. Just ignored us like they weren't supposed to be open. So we waited until 8:10 and walked away, them still closed. Horrible horrible horrible service.
This place is DIRTY! Customer service is awful as well. Cook/manager (whoever she is) was holding a knife while yelling at a customer who questioned their order. Bagels were not toasted at all and one had mold on it. Will not be going back.
I like the concept how they make donuts, just not the place. We stop one off the board walk. It was just really dirty. Needs a DEEP cleaning. In a good establishment if you not busy then you should be cleaning. It was dirty from the back to the front sticky. Only reason we went head order because I could see them make it and they were wearing gloves. (Even face mask) I do not like giving anyone a low rating. I hope they see this going be a good over haul. The donuts are cake and they dip in the top after you order. They add toppings then it melting and very messy sliding off donut.
Donuts here was so fresh and made to order. Packed with plenty of crazy toppings. The dough inside is soft, chewy and had a lil crunch on the exterior. Came here on a busy Saturday and I was in and out in under 10 minutes. The chocolate, French toast and peanut butter cup were may favs
The donuts were good but the woman who works here is very rude and I won't ever try one of these places again. I was ordering my donut and asked about getting bacon crumbles on one and she was making the donuts and yelled out "I'm not making any sandwiches (which are on their menu.)" The guy waiting on me rolled his eyes and I told her I wasn't asking about a sandwich and she said it was the same thing. You don't talk to customers like that.
Going to The Fractured Prune when on vacation in OC has been my family's tradition, not intentionally, but they are just THAT good. ? And I'm proud to say, I'm continuing this tradition with my kids.
