Had dinner with such a beautiful view! There was a big group of us, so to start off we got a few appetizers to share. Our choice of appetizers included the cream of crab soup, bacon wrapped bbq shrimp, raw oysters, and the shrimp cocktail. The appetizers came in very small quantity plus it was pricey for each dish, it contributed to the lost of a star; just because we had a large group and there wasn’t enough for everyone to try so we had to order double. Shrimp cocktail was alright, highly recommend the cream of crab soup and the bacon wrapped shrimp! For our entrees, I only took photos of my boyfriend’s meal and mine. Didn’t want to be rude and make our friends wait to eat! Boyfriend got the Maryland’s Style Jumbo Lump Crab Cakes and I got the Steak and Cake! Steak was very tender and soft but lack of taste. The crab cakes were very delicious!! The vegetables on the side was also bland but the mashed potatoes was good! Few of our friends got the surf and turf and said it was very good. Another set of our friends got meals from the “All Day Lite Fare” such as the Char-Grilled burger and Jerk Chicken BLT since they are not a huge fan of seafood. The ratings I got for those weren’t the best. They said the chicken was really dry and burger was alright. Overall, I say 3.5/5 due to the lack of flavor in the vegetables and my streak, the small quantity of the appetizers and the meals from the “all day lite fare menu.” Definitely do try the fine dining part of the menu if you go, expensive but worth the money!!
Food was good but I would have wanted just a little better for the price. The mashed potatoes were to die for. Service was spectacular, Jenna was amazing and the sunset view made it all worth it!
Ended up coming here two nights in a row because it was so good! Fine dining night and then regular restaurant. Both were delicious! And even though it was super busy with 4th of July and weekend crowd, the service was awesome!Amazing spot for sunset over the bay as extra bonus.
A litle pricey dinner menu but they have a bar type menu too. But the view was worth every penny and the food was excellent. You get what you pay for and the atmosphere was well worth it.
Great food at Fagers fine dining. Service was top, our waiter Radford was amazing and always helpful. The view of the water is lovely. Good cocktails selection. Highly recommend .also the downstairs part for dancing and the bars was so much fun as well
Relatively expensive compared to other restaurants in the vicinity. And the taste was also not upto the mark. Server was super nice and friendly person, but the food and the price tag it came with makes this a 3 star place. They do have a shelter where you get to feel the breeze, which makes for a good photo taking experience
Great food and terrific service. Went there for lunch one day and dinner another. Friendly place interesting dining areas and great views. Very friendly atmosphere. Highly recommend this place.
First time here and everything was great. The staff, people and drinks. I got the steak n cake with the oreo cheesecake and an island dream drink. Highly recommend!
I was staying at a hotel a few miles away when I kept hearing about this place. After meeting some really great people, I came with the new friends and had an absolutely wonderful experience. Scenery at night is a must see.
Tonight my party and I (7 total) tried to go to dinner, with our name on the list, at Fagers Island restaurant when we where stopped by a security guard (shorter, heavier set white man with short hair) because one of the people in our part - the only person of color- was told he could not come in due to a dress code violation. Specifically that his linen shorts were “too casual” and resembled lounge wear. I can assure you, that these were not causal pants, and that they closely resembled another person in our parties pants that the security guard did not take any issue with. While standing off to the side and talking with the security guard for quite some time he let in girls wear bikini tops, and several men wearing bathing suit bottoms and Nike and Under Armour shorts - all of which are direct violations of the no bathing suits and no active wear dress code rules. I couldn’t help but notice that the people he let in were all white, and my boyfriend, the person he stopped, was one on the only people of color and the only person this security guard stopped. It’s incredibly disappointing that Fagers Island would selectively impose dress code rules on some groups of people but not others. My group of friends comes to OC every year for Memorial Day weekend and always spends a evening at Fagers Island with no prior issues till this year. We have been continuous supports of the establishment and to be turned away for what appears to be blatant favoritism or leniency towards one group of people and unnecessarily strict towards others is beyond disappointing.
