One of the best dining experiences on bayside if you like beautiful sunsets, palm trees, and beaches - the theme fits the destination. The food has always keep up with our expectations. I recently had the JuJu Burger with sautéed onions, jalapenos, and chunky mango salsa, which was excellent. The nacho platters are always a staple of this restaurant, although they no longer served the Pork nachos for lunch, just dinner. I also got a mixed bowl of cream of crab and crab soup, including lump crab meat, which was fantastic. It's a relatively expensive dining experience, but so is much of the Peninsula these days. Try to sit out on the beach area if and when you can for the best views. There's a kids playground for your little ones, and a lot of activity to keep you people watching, along with boats that come in to dock.
Great food, drinks, & service. Beautiful view of the ocean and boats. We sat in the 21 & Over section for dinner before it got busy. Our server, Dean, was very attentive, helpful, and kind. Would definitely visit again.
Amazing place with lots of lights and excellent food. The service was super and there is a nice spot for kids. So you can eat while they play.
Wow. Just wow. Please believe the recent reviews and save your money. We have been coming here for years and always accepted it for what it was (mediocre over priced beach food with great ambiance) because the kids love the play area, and it has become a staple of our annual family vacation agenda, but this will be the last year for sure. On the bright side, they have extended the play area for the kids, but that doesn’t make up for the fact that they want to get you in and out as quickly as possible, the place is completely run by untrained kids who are trying but kept apologizing for things outside their control, THEY CHARGED US FOR WATER, their prices for the same mediocre food have gone up astronomically, THEY RATION SILVERWARE to only the seats they think need it for which meal you chose (and would not bring more upon request). It was very odd to us that this one constantly packed restaurant no longer had any wait, but the proof is in the pudding. Customer service is dead at de lazy lizard and you should heed the many warnings.
This place was fabulous you could also sit in the sand. The food was Amazing ? You should def try this place out. Great Atmosphere
Great food and service, kids loved the playground as well. We loved the water views!
Definitely need to visit De Lazy Lizard if your in Ocean City! The food and drinks were amazing!! We had gone for drinks and apps on a Saturday night. The wait wasn’t too long. We ordered the Nachos, Chicken Tenders and Lizard Logs (mozzarella sticks) and they were delicious. The chicken tenders were not your regular old chicken tenders, they were amazingggg. If you love a creamsicle you definitely need to try the Orange Creamsicle - O M G. The atmosphere is great, and you have an amazing view of the sunset no matter where you sit. Definitely want to go back before the end of our trip!
I believe one of the greatest strengths of this place is that you can eat outside right by the water. We got a seat right by the dock and got a great few of the sunset! Now in terms of service, this place was packed and I suspect it's often like this so keep thst in mind before visiting. The food was a bit overpriced (the prices are not listed on the menu) and tasted fine but perhaps not worth the inflated cost. I had an alcohol free strawberry daiquiri and it was sooo bland. Our waiter was fine though and we did enjoy the atmosphere so I'm glad we at least tried it out.As a bonus, there's a playground area that kids can enjoy while waiting for a table or perhaps even while waiting on their food. I personally did not have any kids with me but it's a nice touch.
Food was good. Didn't like the fact there was no price on the menu. Rather expensive for just a piece of chicken and smashed potatoes. The location and decor was very nice. Great sunset pictures.
I enjoyed the food here and I liked that the patio is on the water.I hadn't been to de Lazy Lizard before, usually hitting up the usual Ocean City food spots, but I would love to come back here. My only issue is that the water is, of course, very dirty - so it's a bit of an eyesore to be so close to. I also should mention that some of the tables are right beside the water, and it would be very easy for anything to fall into the water from the table (see photo).Overall, the service was excellent: Our server was very attentive to us, even though they only had 3 servers working the entire restaurant during CoVid. I really liked the table cards (see photo) for servers to stop and help you when you need it.The black and bleu burger and the drinks were phenomenal. I definitely recommend this restaurant, but make sure not to sit *right next to* the water.
