Ate at Buxy's Salty Dog Saloon in Ocean City Maryland. This is a Pittsburgh Steelers themed bar and grille. Food was okay. I was served tortilla chips as part of my meal. I asked for salsa, but the server seemed confused. They did bring out chopped onion and tomato - fresh but not really salsa. If you buy an item in the gift shop and want to return it before you leave - that is not allowed.
Waiter was nice but the food I was very disappointed. I just ordered a cheeseburger with fries. The roll was stale. They served it with none of toppings I asked for. The French fries were so greasy that it filled your mouth with oil as soon as you bit into one. Very disappointed to spend $25 for a burger. Should of went to Burger King and got a whopper meal for half the cost and it would of been way better.
A Pittsburger bar where you can get your Burgh beers like IC. Wasn't busy, bar staff was friendly. In June the AC was as cold as a Shittsburg Snowstorm.
Another very pleasant experience thanks to Jim the bartender. A must go to spot if you are a Pittsburgh sports fan. Good food, great drinks. I always stop in when in OCMD.
We stopped here for the 1st time while on vacation. If you are a Steelers fan, you will absolutely love the decor. The food we got was extremely good and filling. The kids meals came in souvenir dog bowls! I just wish they had Buxy's name on it. All of our sodas came in souvenir cups as well. My only real complaint was the confusing entrances. We went into, what we thought was the main door and we had to follow the signage to the hostess stand. I will definitely be putting Buxy's on the dinner list for the vacation next year.
I’ve actually never written a restaurant review before but felt like relating my pretty disappointing experience at this place. So the food met my expectations, ok at best. I ordered the “Pittsburgh salad” for $20 which was filet tips, French fries, etc. What was brought out was a salad with not with filet tips but rather grilled chicken on it. When I asked the waitress why there was chicken on this her response was “Yeah, we’re doing chicken now since we couldn’t get the steak. Threw me for a loop at first too.” I’m not upset about having a grilled chicken salad but I felt at the very least the waitress could’ve made me aware that the Pittsburgh salad was not going to have steak on it as it is written as such on the menu, all while being charged the same cost of the salad despite this. I should’ve taken a photo but the thought didn’t occur to me until after. ??
Beyond cool! Pizza was very good. We sat at the bar and the bartenders were fun and efficient. If your a Pittsburgh sports fan this place should be on your OC must do list. Try the pierogie appetizer. Great menu, prices are right. Go have fun. Flyers fans should consider eating somewhere else.
It’s your basic, generic, local hometown sports bar. Nothing over the top but still a solid spot. Drinks are cold and cheap. If you’re a young partier looking for a fun time on a Sunday night, definitely come here for a hot crowd and a good time. You’ll thank me later.
Atmosphere was nice..they serve alcohol beverages. It is full of sports memorabilia of teams from Maryland, Pennsylvania and Delaware. I ate the philly steak and cheese which they are supposed to be known for but it was no more than a steakum but good. Check it out if you visit OC
Amazing place. It's been 12 years since I was here last and it's just as good as I remembered. Amazing staff, especially Brittany (I think that was her name). She was very polite and very attentive.
