All good things come to an end. Have been a regular at Anthony's for over 40 years. Roast beef was always the best in ocean city! Unfortunately, with the new ownership, this is no longer the case. Actually, their roast beef may now be the worst in OC. Roast beef sandwich is a third in size of what they once were and it is seasoned and taste more like pot roast than open pit beef. Yuk! I know escalating food costs have caused restaurants to cut back on portion sizes but what used to be a 12 oz portion is now a 4 oz portion....at a higher cost! Regrettably, in lest that 2 years, the new ownership has ruined a long term brand and staple in OCMD.
Shared a cheesesteak from here with a friend and its one of the better ones I've had in OC. Theres been some issues with transition of ownership but seems like the new crew is turning out great food. Would recommend.
Anthony’s is an iconic staple in Ocean City. Go-to for quick service and delicious food.
Best Italian subs anywhere on the Eastern Shore! Love their generous portions of meat! Their rolls are crusty on the outside soft like a cloud on the inside!
We absolutely love Anthony's. The scrapple egg and cheese is the best around along with their cheeseburgers! Definitely a go to spot when in ocean city! Thanks y'all!
So very disappointed ! I order rare roast beef. Husband or ham. Both were ice cold sliced way to thick . Roast beef was rare cut so thick very tough to bite into. I have never had ice cold pit beef I think they dip roll in August which made roll to soggy to hold or try to eat . Husband said ham was like pre package thick slices deli ham.??? I was very excited to try and so very disappointed.
Not what it used to be. Very gross roast beef. Old no flavor, very chewy , alot of fat a waste of 70 dollars. We were looking forward to going here for our annual visit, its definitely not what it used to be. Save your money... hard pass for now on
Read reviews saying how great this was so decided to give it a try. MISTAKE food was poorly prepared the eggs were littered with debris from a dirty grille that had not been cleaned. Bacon was barely done and rubbery, attitude from staff especially cook was downright nasty. Used to love going there for lunch, but never again. Too expensive for all the unnecessary attitude... Do yourself a favor and try anywhere else instead...
My husband and I have been eating here for the past 14 years with an excellent experience every year, EXCEPT THIS YEAR! We didn't realize that the business had changed owners this year but the food quality sure tells it. First we walk in and there is hardly a menu. Then my husband ordered a roast beef sandwich and was given a pile of fatty beef on a bun. He couldn't even chew it. I ordered a Philly cheese steak and it tasted like steak ems. ? sadly this was the last time we will eat at Anthony's Take Out. For those who are seeing good reviews be sure to look at the date. Moral of the story, this place used to be good!
Since Anthonys carryout has change ownership, it sucks. The place is dirty, roast beef was tough and fatty. My mother got an egg sandwich that didn't have hardly anything on it, didn't even look good.It's so sad as good as it was it's such a disappointment.We will never be back!
