Owner refused to refund food we didn’t eat, we ordered two drinks and the second one never came and it took 30 min to pay and leave. After reading the reviews, it seems like this place is about done for. So sad.
Fortunately we had a short wait, especially for a Saturday night. The staff was exceptional! The chef was very good and entertaining!!! The food was excellent and the portions abundant ! I am not used to the restaurant automatically putting the tip on the bill, so glad I caught that. We tip well, but not usually twice! heh. There a very cute 7 yr old celebrating her birthday, so that made it even more fun. It was a very welcome experience after a very long heavy traffic drive. Highly recommend this restaurant!
Today my friends and I had the absolute worst experience ever. We had a very nasty and rude waiter who laughed in our faces when we asked for the manager because of how rude she was. When the manager came, she continued to point and laugh right in our faces. The manager came and wanted us, who were already seated, to get up and go to a completely different section. We told him that we were already seated and asked if we could just get a different waiter, he then became rude and nasty with us. I then asked for his name and he said “I don’t have to give you anything” he then proceeded to aggressively grab our menus from in front of us, told us to get out and that he was calling the police. Not 3 minutes later did the police arrive. The manager called the police on 6 young black women for absolutely NO REASON AT ALL. Thankfully, the police officer was extremely nice and apologetic and shared that this was not the first time that a situation like this from this establishment has happened. I am extremely disappointed in how the entire situation was handled with absolutely no accountability on the waitress’s end whatsoever. I will never support this establishment ever again.
Great Hibachi restaurants for date night, work gatherings Or friends birthday. They only accept parties of 10 or less so be mindful of that. Other than party restrictions, the food is good and the staff moves pretty swiftly. Chef Sam is pretty cool!
Interactive dinner anyone! I had a great time at Kobe in White Marsh for my daughter's birthday celebration. I ordered steak&scallops. The meal was excellent (tender steak and scallops! The cook was phenomenal. It's amazing how they know the exact portion to give to everyone. I like the games the cook played with us and I even attempted to caught food thrown at me. The atmosphere is a casual dress but it can easily be a shirt and tie event dinner at your request...meaning you request your guest to dress according to your wish. It was half and half in our group. There is limited sitting, 10 to a space no exceptions. Literally, that's all that can fit. It's no way to add a chair anywhere. So any more than 10 you will be at another table with another cook.
Pretty disgusted right now. I have been a loyal Kobe White Marsh customer for many years and tonight we ordered carry out like we do often. It was not even close to the normal standards. We had shrimp shells in our food, the rice was not fried at all and had no flavor, the vegetables were raw, steak was chewy and overcooked, and the entire meal was disgusting. I called to make them aware of this because it’s really not the norm for them and the manager informed me that even if we bring the food back they will not do anything about it. They told us the owner will not allow refunds of any kind (even partial like we asked for). They lost a loyal customer tonight and I need a new favorite restaurant. I wanted to warn others to not waste your money because we lost $100 tonight. ?
I enjoyed and have always enjoyed Kobe's. I get that table space is at premium and my only gripe would be I'd have expected them to make the attempt to separate groups themselves. That aside our chef was friendly and funny. The food was great and the atmosphere was nice. Our server was pleasant and friendly as well. Shout out to whoever made the margaritas. Didn't get to see who it was, but they definitely have my seal of approval ??
I just want to say that I've always loved Kobe's but until today I was very disappointed. I came on a date night and when I order my food I usually always get the same thing and make the same request. When ordering my food for myself and generally when I come with my entire family and I have my kids, I always ask for the vegetables but I say no onions and this is because my kids don't like onions and I myself am unable to tolerate onions because it upsets my stomach, but today I was told that I could not get my vegetables unless I had onions in it and that is very disturbing because people that have certain allergies or they can't tolerate certain foods should be able to request their food the way that they like it and not be told by the restaurant that is either their way or no way. If I'm paying my money then I don't understand what the issue is. That to me is very poor management.
Kobe’s is a very elegant eating facility with professional hibachi chefs who deliver great customer service along with deliciously large portions of well cooked and seasoned food. I would recommend it highly.
The cooks are very entertaining. However, the waitress/order taker was not nice.
