This Place is a Hearty Paradise in My City, yeah it's MY City I Own It (smiling emoji) I don't have my Phone at the Moment for Emoji's, Toucan Taco has been In My City of Laurel as Long as I can Remember & the Last 20 Times I Ate @ Toucan Taco I had someone Go Inside & Grab It or I asked them to Pick It Up, So I had Not Seen Sabia, like my Last Name Saba but Sabia really Caught My Attention the Last Time I went In, So Kind, So Sweet & So Nice to Me & a Friend of Mine, she was a Total Sweetheart & I was Asking her for her Phone # & Everything & she Remained Calm & then Served Me the Best Tacos I've Had Since my Mother Brenda Sue was Here & Hooked Me Up, I Never Added Spice or Heat to my Tacos at Toucan Taco but it actually Put It Over the Top, God Bless, the Tacos are like "Home Made" & nothing like Taco Bell or anywhere Else, It's a Gem, It's Not even KNOWN to Everyone in Laurel, because it Sits Off to the Left coming Down My Route 198 for that "198 Mob" 30 Years this Year Mobbin' Anniversary 1992-2022 Gang Gang but Let's All Talk Sabia into going On a Date so We can All make her Last Name Sabia Saba again (Smiling Emoji) God Bless Sabia, I'm from Here my Name is Phattie Matt it's Matthew & I was very Impressed with this Wonderful Little Laurel "Taco Spot" again & again & again This Time, Especially Seeing Sabia Smile, take Care & Go Get U some Toucan Taco Chump, I meant Dude!! Very unassuming but for the locals that go here they wouldnt change a thing. This is the quintessential laurel local eatery... and that should be celebrated. Most entrees have excellent value and you cant go wrong with the fan fav sunken burrito dinner. Its enuf for 2 people. The chilli con carne dip is excellent - albeit overpriced. Wife who loves enchiladas gave them a 'meh'. Service is interesting. Not terrible but maybe not what your used to. Our chips that came with chilli con carne dip featured the bottom of the chip bag bits that most people would trash. Clearly an oversight on the servers part but that level of quality control is everywhere here. My $3.75 beer had over an inch of head... so it was likely about 8oz of beer. No big deal just not ordering s second one. In summary - this place is a gem but be prepared to have some extra dialogue with your server.
The bad news first: If your a vegetarian: Your meal will essentially come with beans, rice and cheese. There’s no sour cream, pico de gallo or guacamole included. My burrito dinner was $9.10. Inside the burrito was beans and cheese. The side options were beans and rice. I had to add sour cream and guacamole on the side. Furthermore , there aren’t any onions, tomatoes or anything. I believe the meat burrito is the same price as well. So, basically I paid 16.37 for something that I think should’ve came with more or been a little cheaper.The good news: Customer service is wonderful. For the food I received: Beans and rice. It was hot and tasty.Will I visit again? If I want to pay for beans and rice … I guess. However, although I don’t eat meat I’ll like to see other vegetarian options besides a salad or having to pay extra just to add options. After all, I like to eat more that just some beans and rice.
It's a tiny place with no flare but great tacos, a yummy sunken burrito, and enchiladas like your grandma makes.
We drive over an hour for this deliciousness! Hands down, best Mexican!!
Formerly known as Tippys, this is a historical place. Sunken meat burritos and queso with chips are legendary. Been a loyal customer for over 41 years.

Great food very reminiscent of the old Terrapin Taco in college park.... Great cheap well made delicious food... Parking on site, lots of seating, friendly staff...
