I enjoy there catfish nuggets and lima beans. Cabbage needed to be cook a few minutes longer. Felt like I was eating Cole slaw not cooked cabbage.

It was our first time. Food was delicious! Well seasoned.I got the fried shrimp platter with mac&cheese & potato salad. Yum!! My boyfriend got the flounder. And his both sides he enjoyed. I will be back again.

For a carryout to specialize in fried chicken it really wasn't good at all. It was okay but as far as I'm concerned Asians cannot do soul food so why is the name called soul boat??

Hummm definitely not what I was expecting. The half & half was good also the prices. I ordered lake trout it was okay, I had to add seasoning. My sides were collards & sweet yams. I took 2 bites of my greens, one bite of yams. Yams had 0 sweetness. Taste like they opened the can & just warmed them up. Greens idk I really don’t. They weren’t bad just not for me. I ordered a side of potato salad, but I decided not to eat it. However the young lady at the counter was amazing. Very nice & welcoming.

First time ordering from this place and never again. Order the 3 piece Whiting fish came with french fries. The fish was smaller then hands and I have small hands, and it was bland no seasoning at all and to top it off everything was cold.

They have good food and nice size portions.

I really enjoyed the meal I had. I ordered string beans, Lima beans, rice and gravy, and greens. I also ordered the fried shrimp appetizer. Initially after I put in my order I was confused about some things and called the restaurant directly, the woman I spoke to was helpful and kind. I ended up canceling my order and re-doing it which was easy! The food was flavorful and I will definitely order from them again. Great value and nice portions, I was happy with my meal. My only tiny complaint is that I would have loved for my rice to have come with more gravy- but all in all that is a very very minor issue.

The food has no soul. I purchased the catfish dinner with greens and potato salad. The catfish smelled like the lake it came out of. Also, the fish didn’t have any flavor. The collards were from the can without seasoning. Definitely a Chinese carry out, not an authentic Southern Cuisine restaurant.

While some of the food is just okay, it is far from soul food, as a warning. Under-seasoned fish, but seemed fresh. Obviously canned, soggy green beans, odd macaroni that was decent the first time, but different and pretty awful today. I would not chance anymore sides there again. It is Asian owned and operated, which was a non-issue in itself for me. They were friendly and prompt, but I would not say that anything so far has been fresh nor genuinely southern style. My friend said the wings were good at lunch hour, and were standard fried wings that you would get at an Asian take-out. They just desperately need a cooking coach to use the name Soul Boat.

The food was pretty good. Close to soul food but not quits. The greens have a ton of stems in them and the mac and cheese was too thick and needed to be better seasoned but I really it was okay over all.
