Firstly the food tasted good.Gave three stars for two reasons. We’ve been to Sakura before and the chef was very enthusiastic, fun and makes jokes, so the bar was set high. Our chef was ok, but was just doing his job. He also took a while to start which made us notice that the area smelled old and musty and the bathroom floors were sticky.
Sakura is my family’s favorite place , we go there to celebrate special occasions, food is great and the service is very good , we really love it
The chef we had was entertaining, even though it was the end of the night. The hibachi food is decent. I always get plum wine when visiting a Japanese Steak House, it's VERY delicious here!
Service was sooooo slow and just dreadful! The chef was just a boring cook! They charge you and arm and leg for your meals but then give you a basic boring chef. Part of the experience is the entertainment from the funny chef. Ours didn't really speak and just cooked! Last time we went to this Sakura's, we had the best chef. Omg...he was over the top. Won't be going back to Sakura's in Laurel ever again!
This was the best luncheon I have ever attended! Excellent food and very entertaining!!I'm so glad our group decided to go here for a friend's birthday celebration. The chef was amazing!! It was like watching a magician...he had skills! He had us laughing the entire time. Our group was a mixture of people from age 6 to 95, and we all had a fantastic time!I'm still daydreaming about those succulent scallops! Next time I think I'll get double scallops!I highly recommend Sakura for a delicious meal and great entertainment, especially if you are planning a group outting.
Came in on a Wednesday night and wasn't too crowded. Took a while for the chef to start cooking but I'm guessing this was because they were hoping more people might show up. The food was on point and the chef was really good at what he does. Very pleasant manner and overall good service. Will definitely be back!
I want to start off with this has been a go to spot for myself and my family for years and have always had a great experience, unfortunately this time was not the case. Our cook was very non talkative and did none of the normal things you see as far as the experience you normally get. The food did not hit the mark for what is normally provided and the this that has me most irritated and upset is now they are charging a “Service Charge” that was never charged in the many time of going there before. I’d understand a service charge for a larger party and if it is disclosed upfront like many restaurants do but this was never explained and our party was only two adults and a child, then when you receive the check there it is a service charge that was just over 18% of the total bill. I believe if there is a service charge it should be stated prior to being seated and even posted. Very dissatisfied and disappointed with this experience.
We enjoyed anniversary for wedding. My wife love hibachi. There was other hibachi in area, but sakura was the best. They charge service fee on bill. But for my anniversary day I enjoyed and put extra 20% over the service charge! Thanks for entertaining.
Went with a meet up! half of the group checked the website and thought they close at 9 pm but the half who showed had a blast!Delicious yumyum sauce, hibachi, and drinks! great company.I would recommend to update the website or google for more accurate hours! Thanks
I would have rated 5 stars, but we were divided in spite of being the only people at our hibachi. But other than that it was an excellent experience. The food was delicious, filling, and service was prompt. The price s were some what expensive, but it was worth it.
