We bought the curry goat and the "stew" chicken, BAD IDEA. We could tell as soon as we opened the package the food wasn't done right. The curry was full of water and had an unappealing greenish tint to it, the "stew" chicken was more like boiled chicken in ketchup sauce and neither meat tasted properly seasoned. The rice and peas tasted like white rice with some beans. We both tossed the food after a couple bites. We will not be returning and wouldn't recommend if you want a proper Jamaican meal.
My first time ordering from Negril I really enjoyed my curry chicken, rice and cabbage! Also I loved the plantains. The portion was great for the price. I will definitely be ordering from them again!
This was my first time eating at this restaurant. Restaurant looks clean and lively. Curry goat was watered down and very bland as was the stew chicken (more like boiled chicken). Rice and peas was okay (just). Very disappointed, I was looking to have a tasty Jamaican meal, sad to say there was nothing Jamaican about the quality and taste of the food. Ended up having to throw away half of the food. If you're going to represent jamaica atleast season the food to show.
My favorite spot to get Jamaican food! Food taste amazing, great service, fast and quick, and the food never disappoints! Their strawberry lemonade and fruit punch taste amazing especially during this heat.
This restaurant is really good! Everyone on the staff (especially Ashley) is very friendly and great at their job! Ashley is my favorite out of the crew! She is beautiful and does her absolute best every time
I have had the curry chicken and the brown stew and coco bread rum cake and rice n cabbage along with beef Pattie’s. I love it all. Not too spicy or bland just right.
Ordered stew chicken with rice/beans, Cabbage and a beef patty. Entire mean is Unseasoned and bland. Rice was dry and had no taste, beans tasted old. I paid extra for white chicken and it was dry. The chicken tasted like they just dipped it in the sauce and did not marinate it. Cabbage was boring. The beef patty was decent. Overall waste of money. I ordered here several years ago and was disappointed and decided to take another chance. ? Bad idea!!! Save your money. My bottle of ginger ale is the best part of my meal!
This was my second time ordering from Negril. The first time I went into the restaurant and ordered and it took a while to get my food so this time I called ahead of time. The food wasn’t ready after an hour but I was okay with waiting and it was worth it. I ordered the escovitch snapper and it was delicious. I also ordered a slice of rum cake and it was tasteful as well.
I haven’t been to Negril for over 2 years,.However, today I got curry chicken and it was delicious!Take that from a picky eater and cook.Whoever is cooking, NEVER let them go.My only regret is I didn’t save any for dinner?
I ordered the Vegetable stew with half rice and half cabbage. The stew has a variety of veggies and beans in a light sauce. It had a nice flavor and was not too salty. The portion was very generous. I also ordered a side of plaintains and they were cooked to perfection, sweet like candy.
