Such a nice and engaging ownership at this eatery. Staff is friendly and suggestive. This is both a Mediterranean and Latin eatery. Quite a tasty menu, fresh and seasoned well. Some seafood is available to add to your burrito, taco and quesadilla too. If you're in Laurel Maryland and up to giving your taste buds a treat to something flavorful and different, pop into Jalapeno and dig in. You will be filled before you know it. The food and service is ALWAYS great.

Mexican and Middle Eastern behind the same counter! What more could anyone ask for?! The taco bowl was a good lunch value, but the real house specialties are samosas, kebabs, and various Middle Eastern combo plates: the chicken & lamb was absolutely delicious and included flavored rice, a fresh salad, some chickpea curry, and a side of the softest Naan bread that I've ever had. Don't judge a book by its cover and check this place out for lunch! You won't be disappointed.

I recently came across this spot and man,already in love with the food. We were craving for some halal Mexican food, and this popped up! Menu is smart and you can quickly see what you need. Tacos bowl, hands-down the best! Softshell were good too. Its a shared space with an Afghan Kabab place, so don't get confused with it. I can't wait to go back and try some more !
Quality mexican food with afghan options. Their wings are awesome too. Very crispy with just enough sauce to not get them soggy. Halal!
As of today, I have visited this restaurant four times. Each time I ordered something different and was satisfied. So I highly recommend this place to anyone that lives in town or anyone looking for this food if you're just passing through!

I really like this place. Know before you go: the mild salsa is still pretty spicy (and I have a good tolerance for spice)! The food is always good and consistent.
