I think because we arrived late we got the end of the day left overs and the food we requested was out (string beans) and they prepared them and they hadn't had time to season them or for them to marinade.
Went to the Landover location. Everything was bland. Soul food is supposed to have flavor this food was absent of any flavor or seasoning. We tried the potatoes salad, mac n cheese, green beans, rice and beans, smothered pork Chops, chicken wings, baked chicken and pork ribs. Everything was just bland. Don't know who the cook is but they should be ashamed. Very disappointed!!!!
So today about a few minutes ago my husband gave me this meal from Keith & Sons. I was so excited because I was craving some yams potato salad and meatloaf. Unfortunately to my surprise I opened my food and notice that my potato salad is in the same container with hot foods A big no for me. But I still wanted to give it a chance. I then noticed that the yams are straight out of the can. Although I was not to upset about the canned yams. I then decided to go for the meatloaf and as you can see from the picture I got a big surprise with raw meat in the middle. This right here is a Hard No for me.I am just turned off at this point and the whole meal went in the trash. Unfortunately to say I will not be buying anything from this place again.Oh and no I don’t give it any stars. I just had to do so in order to post
The food is always great! I love the breakfast here. The portions are large, food is flavorful, and he has a wide selection of items! Friendly customer service and very welcoming!
I wish I had the experience of the folks that gave it five stars. I really wanted to like it, but I just didn’t. I got 4 wings with Mac and cheese and green beans. The food overall was underwhelming and under seasoned for my taste. Chicken didn’t taste fresh. Mac and cheese was creamy and had a good texture but was bland. Green beans were giving doctored up canned green beans-fine but nothing special. I want to give them another chance but the reviews and my experience give me the sense that they’re inconsistent and I don’t want to play Russian roulette every time I go hoping I catch them on a good day.
That made to order breakfast is awesome! Usually a little long. So many options for breakfast and dinner! If you want the fantastic cornbread, instead of a roll, go early evening
I've been coming to Keith and Sons for years you definitely get your money worth and then some no matter if its breakfast, lunch or dinner it will fill you up.
This joint needs to be shut down central ave and seat pleasant I try and support black own businesses but food presentation is everything and these joints l look horrible and this not just one time but everytime I try and go and support but I feel the same every time I go to either joint come on ya gotta do better or close down I definitely won't be going back to neither spot ughhhhh!!!
Nice atmosphere, food looked delicious and fresh. Jasmine was professional and informative. Portions were good and most of all, food was very tasty. We ordered 4 platters and the there were no complaints, just compliments. We plan on going back for breakfast and lunch rea soon.. I don't believe we will be disappointed. ????????????
I got Salmon(nothing special), green beans(tasteless mush), and yams(had some clear substance that was gross). I got strawberry cake too but i just threw it away because the yams made me lose my appetite. Inside was dirty and food was HALFWAY covered with Saran wrap so flies were landing on the food as I waited for my plate...... at least get some lids....
