April is just awesome! Every Saturday my wife and I end our ride at the Turtle and cannot wait to see April! She is an amazing person and one of the best bar tenders we have ever met! We love the Green Turtle and have been patrons for a long time! Getting to spend our Saturday afternoon with April is just great! If you are in the Hanover area and want a cool spot to chill, stop in at the Turtle, and ask for April! You won’t regret it! Thank you April for the amazing memories!
This place is okay. I've been here a few times and use to frequent here a bit when they 1st opened. All and all still a great place to go with a group of friends to catch the game, get good food, and beer if you drink it.Recently, I went here with a group of friends and we reserved tables in the back room. We basically came to chat and watch the final four game. As always it was nice and packed full of people. I wouldn't come here if you want to have a quite romantic dinner, this place is full of sports fans. I would also be weary of bringing your kids because there will be those drunk sports fans, cussing and carrying on. They do have security so things don't get but so crazy. Just remember it's a sports bar!Good:-Crab Dip-Strawberry Lemonade- TV'S in the private room were awesome-WINGS!!-Flat bread pizzaBad:-Service: There were about 25 people in our group and it took forever for us to get service to get drinks or order and the waitress barely came by to check on us. Some people in my group had to request items several times. I'm not sure if they were short staffed or what, but normally the server gives their guest a heads up or something alone the lines. However, she did make sure to tell us about their new "we no longer apply tips to large groups policy"
Back in town for a family event after moving out of Maryland a few years back, stopped at the green turtle for lunch with expectations of “same old bar style food” and was pleasantly surprised to see rockfish bites on the menu. I ordered them and the Maryland crab soup. The rockfish bites were phenomenal. 10/10. They were flaky, buttery, and fried crisp without soaking up the oil. The Maryland crab soup could have had more veggies in my opinion, my bowl mostly consisted of Lima beans broth and fine shreds of crab meat, i would say 3/10 IMO. otherwise very good, the atmosphere was good and service was good.
I've been. To this location several times now and it's usually pretty good. This last time was no exception. The wait staff was prompt and we were seated immediately (This was a Monday evening). The food was good and generally hot. I had their chicken tenders and buffalo cauliflower my son had Mac and cheese. We had a good time. We shall return.
First time visiting the area... The place was very relax in the sense where you get off from a long day and you go just to watch game and have good beverages also good food.Like the way they put the cups on the bar was kind of unique, bartender were awesome.. Great experience. I was there with some work colleagues and it was good.
The hostess was nice but my to go order was nothing like I expected. I got the nachos half of which were burnt and barely any chicken tenders on the nachos. Glad I’m not actually sharing this with anyone.

I typically don’t leave reviews but I felt this was necessary. The food tasted great and our server was super sweet and attentive. I had the spicy chicken sandwich with a side of fries. However, I have terrible food poisoning. I don’t think it was our appetizer, as I’m the only person who ended up being sick. I normally wouldn’t complain over this but I’m 7 months pregnant and have a little one to be concerned about in this case. I think it’s important that y’all check the dates on the chicken you’re serving or ensure that it is cooked thoroughly!
Got to-go of the Korean Salmon Bowl and the Brussels sprouts. It was very tasty and ready when I got there. The Brussels sprouts did leak sticky stuff into the bag, so maybe a better container for those would be good, but that’s my only complaint!
This place was walking distance from our hotel and we ordered to go since it was super bowl night. We figured the wait to eat would be long. Our food was ready before the time they stated it would be done. Our order was correct but they did not give straws for the drink or any wet naps for the ribs that were ordered. The amount of fries in the ribs basket was pathetic but nicely cooked. My wings did not seem like they had Smokey bbq they tasted like they had banging bbq on them. I was able to eat but definitely more spicy then I wanted.
