I am sorry, but this place is overrated. I am from North Carolina, I was visiting the area, and I wanted to eat at the highest-rated restaurants in Hagerstown! This was one of them. It was rather hot in the dining room; granted, it was an "unusually hot day" for this area. The workers and owner were super friendly, but everything was "okay." The Geek salad was okay. According to my husband, the taco salad was "good," and the Maldivian chicken was "okay."ATTN all southerners: The tea sucks!

Stopped here as a quick last minute dinner while visiting from out of town and we are so pleased we did. We had the white pizza with spinach and it was delicious. Definitely in the top three of white pizzas I have ever had. The service was perfect in every way. Looking forward to going back and trying other delights on the menu when we are back in town.

Excellent marinara sauce and the veal parm was very juicy when you cut into it. Don’t think the pasta is made in house, but it’s worth it nonetheless. Plus, it’s not too pricey and will leave some dough in your pocket when you’re done.

Doesn't deserve even one star. FALSE ADVERTISING!!! We were excited because it was packed when we got there. They do NOT bake their own bread. I called and asked and was LIED to.Our order was horrible!!!!My.lettuce was put under HOT chicken so it was slimy and the heart of the (I'm guessing it's supposed to be romaine but looks like leaf) lettuce they use, that is normally yellow, was brownish. Extremely way more bread than meat (only enough for maybe a 6 inch)Also probably stay away if you have any melanin. They didn't take too kindly to my husband ?But hey; a dining room packed full of native htown ppl can't be wrong!

Incredible hole in the wall. Small family owned, home cooked food feel. The 4 of us ordered different things. Everything was excellent and clearly homemade. Wonderful experience. BYO wine. Parking and seating is limited. But the food is worth it.

Amazing food and service! It’s like eating at my Grandmas!! Don’t miss this!

We pulled up to the restaurant and I said to my wife, " You sure you want to eat here?" It seems, from the outside, like a somewhat neglected "hole in the wall" where you take your life in your hands eating what's served. The interior doesn't do a whole heckuva lot to dispel the exterior's image. BUT, inside, while it won't rate the cover of "Interiors," everything is as clean as a whistle, including the lavs. My wife ordered a vegetable soup and a pizza; I had a antipasto salad. My wife's impression of the soup? "Wow. This is one of the best vegetable soup I've ever had." The "medium" soup was large. (I cannot even imagine the pail the "large" would have required.) My salad was delish. And the pizza? Truly heaven sent. (I shared!) ALSO, the complimentary dinner roles were excellent and served hot. The coffee was marvelous; a far cry from "ordinary." And, as a special treat, complimentary beignets that were different from, AND BETTER THAN, those served ($$$$) at the Cafe du Monde. Service? Excellent. Wine list? There is none. Dolce is BYOB, and that -- for my money -- is the best wine list of all. BRAVO, Dolce. This place is not to be missed!

Always delicious, fresh, made to order goodness! We're so grateful we found this place 5+ years ago. It is a go to for my favorite rice chicken, as well as excellent stuffed cabbage, moussaka, lasagna, and much more! Their carryout is efficient and equally good food. Although the donuts make dining in an added bonus to the friendly, accommodating staff. Thank you to Julia, and the rest of the Dolce staff, for providing a consistently wonderful, family dining experience.

Met Chef Julia, everyone was very friendly. Very busy on a Tuesday night. No wonder: Very good food, large portions, felt like home and family, a real find!

Lasagna and Ziti both tasted fresh and authentic! Pizza was the perfect blend of cheese and sauce. The young man working the front was polite and friendly and just the whole atmosphere was family-oriented. Will definitely be returning to this hidden gem!
