Great food and great service!!

This has always been a great location for us! We love the live fireplace and friendly wait staff! Our last waitress here was singing as she went back and forth, always staying on top of everything and everyone!! Fabulous family dining and fun looking at the gift shop, where we found be buttered popcorn Jelly Bellies and some beautiful home decor on Clearance!!

I realize the CB business model is to force diners to mill around the shop while waiting for a table, however, the extended waits are ridiculous for the impulse purchases CB seeks. Expect a long waits for a table, in an overcrowded shop, for mediocre food and barely adequate service. We had a group of 14, hoping to sit together, but unfortunately, we're split into two groups of 7. One group of 7 were finished eating before the second group was even served, one and a half hours after coming into the restaurant. Eventually the hangryness subsided once the food arrived.

My family enjoys the food and atmosphere at Cracker Barrel, but we don't have one near our home. So, when vacationing, we always look for one. This one is special! The people were super nice and the service and food were spectacular! I left my brand new souvenir hat on the back of the chair, but didn't realize until an hour later. A long story short, they suggested mailing it to my home address. I was so thankful to receive that package! Thank you for your hospitality!

Food was delicious . Service was good

We were seated close to the kitchen area and watched as a MANAGER picked onions off of my boyfriend's plate and then handed it to the server to finish picking the onions off. They then tried to serve us the food!!! after picking in it. The managers explanation was she used a knife!!! No gloves, no hair nets and expected us to eat the food. Downright nasty...never stepping foot in there again

They never fail to deliver . I go to the CB which is close to the Premium outlets at the exit towards Sharpsburg for breakfast before shopping. Its very convenient. Attentive , great service and great food. We opted fir a heavier breakfast for Brunch. The Old Timer's was served in a beautiful blue dish which made for such an appetizing presentation. I had the Country Boy breakfast which had a tantalizing steak served wuth a cheese casserole. It was a little dry at one end, but I still gave 5 stars for Cracker Barrel. 17 years for me as theur client and they have maintained their old world charm , their great country store, best service and food.

I dont know WHAT they have done to their food, it is no where near the quality as in the past. My husband and I have always enjoyed the fried chicken tenderloins, until this past weekend.and they were so spicy that we couldnt eat them. Unfortunately we got takeout or we would have sent them back for something else. The crusts on the baked chicken pot pies have also changed. The service is also lacking lately.. We received several gift cards for Christmas because this used to be our favorite restaurant. We probably wont be eating there at all once our gift cards have been used.

I put a report in a while ago about unprofessionalism. The day I came, there was one cashier with brown, short curly hair, glasses and was overweight. She was helping a set of guest and then went off to the side of the store with the orders. I was the only one on that side of the store. I ask her for my order. She tells me no, I can’t have it. I’m like excuse me? She proceeds to make an excuse about needing to verify orders but refused to look at my phone with my name. Then another set of ladies come over to help and this cashier (brown hair and glasses) is still refusing to allowing them to help me. They didn’t listen to her because I had proof. We were legit shouting in a Cracker Barrel over her ignorance. It was the most racist and low down treatment imagined. I know Hagerstown and Maryland has some racist roots but seriously? Over food I paid for? The food tasted horrible and I threw it away after like two bites. What is up with Cracker Barrel being racist? It has happened at other locations too! Then the support team wants to contact me three weeks later to investigate. Yeah…okay. What a joke. Not a friendly establishment. I’m not upset because it’s just food and I’m glad I’m not some elderly racist psychopathic bigot. Hope she gets to read this review and remember me. Better yet, I hope this review gets her fired. It’s long overdue.

I love cracker barrel. If I can't decide what I want to eat, or don't want to cook it is a good place to take the family and find something to please everyone. The "store" is shoved so full of items for sale you can hardly move when busy and could easily lose a small child in that mess. I have been to more spacious restaurants in the south and it is more pleasant. I know "supply chain" issues have been affecting my family going there, we love the trout and it's been unavailable for several weeks even though the website points out catfish is likely to be unavailable. We took a chance, no trout and my husband wanted to walk out but we stayed. They changed their chicken fried chicken, I like the old way better. The new portion is too large. This particular cracker barrel has become known for slow service. People no longer take their jobs seriously. Even when you point it out at the register the checkout staff say that's the complaint they hear the most. These things don't stop us from taking a chance. The food is generally good, but service could definitely be better.
