I was visiting the area to attend the Wine in the Woods event and even though they had food vendors I really wanted some blue claw crabs and o am so happy this place was recommended.I thoroughly enjoyed the crabs. They take 20 minutes to cook so order a beverage/cocktail and an appetizer to hold you over while you wait for your seasoned fresh and hot crabs to be brought to the table.I ordered the crab dip pretzel as my appetizer and it was huge. I didn't want to get full so I only ate a portion there and enjoyed the rest when I got back home to Philly. When I arrived around 4pm on a Saturday afternoon there was no wait and had the option to sit in the dining room or bar area; I choose the bar area. I sat in the bar area.Good service and delicious food. I would dine here again if I'm in the area.
Food is good. The staff can work on the cleanliness of the place. Just because it's a crabhiuse, it doesn't mean you expect to sit it meat or shells. On-site parking, but I could easily see how traffic could spill into the road on busy, carryout nights.
The food was really delicious (crabby patty, fish & chips, crab dip). The calamari was basic (was better with boomboom sauce on the side). The staff was friendly & wait service was good.Ambiance wasn't that nice & tables were very close to other guests.Parking lot is very small & limited street parking. Can park @ M&T but didn't know that until after we parked. Will visit again when not so congested.
Food was good. BUT we will not be back. There were only 3 I. Our party and they added 18% gratuity on the bill. I can see when you have a party of 5 or more, but 3 people. I give my tip based off the service and food. So you lost customers. If you are adding the gratuity to the check it should be posted.
Delicious food, excellent service! The only reason I took away a star is the seating was very cramped. When we asked for a booth that was disconnected from other parties at the long cafeteria style table, they said they were all reserved. Take my advise and reserve a booth if you would like a half way private conversation. I literally rubbed elbows with my neighbors it was so tight.
I was in town for work and ate dinner here twice in 4 days. The food and drinks were great and so was the service. I sat on the bar side and it was comfortable and cozy. The owner stopped by and talked to me twice and his wife talked to me also (both were great to talk to) after the friendly and very helpful waitress recognized me from being in a couple days before. I loved the bread pudding! When in town again I will definitely go again and I can't say enough good things about my experience.
This place gets worse every time I come. I’ve been coming here for 30 years and have loved it. But the last few years it’s just gone down hill. I asked for a soft crab sandwich with no breading on the crab it came with breading. They brought back a fried soft crab with no breading and they fried it in oil instead of butter. The bread was hard as a rock from being stale so they brought out new bread that was just as stale. When I told the server he rolled his eyes. So I asked for a manager. The manager came out and I asked him to feel the bread that hadn’t been touched to see how stale it was and he looked at me and didn’t touch it. He had the same bad attitude the server had. He argued with me instead of apologizing. He offered no solution and walked away. Then came back to the table when he heard me say he doesn’t care to the person I was with and he continued to argue with me. It’s a shame. This place used to be so nice. Oh well I guess I’ll just have to go to Costas from now on. The food is better. The service is better. And the managers and owners actually care.
I didn't like the fact that an 18% tip was forced on me . I can understand doing that on a large party but it was just my mom and I. And let me tell you I am by no means a cheap skate. I was a bartender and a waitress for over 18 years. It may have gotten more have they not added it it because I usually leave 20%. Oh Well their loss !!!!
Great seafood restaurant in Glen Burnie serving up some delicious seafood! We had crab soup that was scrumptious! I had a ginormous tossed salad and an Imperial crab stuffed potato and my wife had a fried shrimp dish and it was all excellent! Our waitress was very helpful and attentive. I highly recommend this restaurant!
Definitely one of my favorites when I lived here and now I'm back visiting and had to hit them up again. Still so good. Imperial potato is always my go to. Perfection every time
