A colleague and I met at Wegmans outdoor seating. We purchased beverages and weren't seated there very long when the manager asked us to leave. We were the only ones in the seating area and we have our laptops out while we were talking business. She said we were obviously conducting some kind of meeting and had to leave. I was going to go shopping after my meeting. Going somewhere else now :(
I noted the long lines to 2 persons standing there jabbering. They seemed nonplussed; left and got items I needed for a birthday party elsewhere [Safeway] treated with much more respect. Wrote a complaint and forwarded around with no resolve. Seems my bag is MIA. it was from work and I resent the lack of care. asked manager who contacted me re: no chicken noodle soap with dough; didn't know; asked about another product; didn't no. no empathy whatsoever and I'm out my bag. Poor customer service. You have to watch the floral dept. as well; unless you get them fresh they do not last long...a bundle at had at another occasion; the cashier didn't bother to contact anyone when a new fresh arrangement $8.00 bundle would be available ... DO NOT GO on weekend; long lines and they don't adjust to customer flow.
There is always a nice selection of food, but beware the checkout process. Check-out person was only wearing one latex glove, which had holes in the fingertips. He did not sanitize hands before scanning items, and even took some vegetables out of the bag to scan, thus touching with his unsanitized hands.
We make a special trip to shops here because it is the only Wegmans in the area. We love the selection of cheeses and deli meats available. The store also carries quark, which we have purchased in Europe but have not found anywhere else in the U.S. The only negative is the parking lot that is awkward to enter and exit.
I go here all the time for sushi sweets and groceries their hot bar is very good the drinks they have are sugar free calorie free and help me to poop which I need help with sometimes the fudge is good as well the shrimps are delicious the candy isle is very tempting the older guy working in produce was very nice their carts are small and clean have fun and go here especially in the weekends carrot cake for dessert mmm
The store itself is huge and has a lot of food choices including gluten free and dairy free food. Including So Delicious Ice Cream. Getting in and out of the parking is hard as it is usually full and not enough space to pull out of a space safely.
We briefly stopped here for desserts and some shopping. There is ample covered parking areas so parking was not an issue during our visit. Restaurants and other shops are located near by. This grocery store is huge, offering items regularly offered by grocery stores PLUS some more. There are sections serving various types of beverages, pizza & other fast food items, freshly made sushis, items prepared for baking/cooking at home, etc. It also has several islands of hot foods and salads for their buffet selections. Tables and chairs are available for in-house dining. We bought our desserts here: coconut macaroons, cookies and slices of white cakes. Our purchases also included various types of cheeses and frozen vegan items. Will definitely stop here again to DINE and SHOP when we're back in the area. Lots of food selection options here!
Although Wegmans isn't my closest grocery store, I try to go there pretty often because I like the selections. Service is good and when I'm looking for something in particular, they are likely to have it. I recently wanted some unusual items from new recipes so I checked at Wegmans. They had everything. I usually ask up front at customer service to see where these special items are located. They give me the aisle to look in. If I really have trouble finding something, I can ask for more help. I especially like the ready-to-eat selections like Light California Roll & Rotisserie Chicken. I always go in for a few items & come out with several bags. The quality and service are hard to beat.
This is our weekly place to get groceries. The regular items are comparable to the prices at a Costco. The gourmet area has a fabulous selection of all the premium things like lobster and exotic cheeses. We love this place and have since it opened several years ago.
Though the choices of ready-to-eat dinners have declined in number while going up in cost, there is a great variety of food by the pound, many beverages, and a big seating area with TV and microwaves.
