Love Cafe Rio for over 2 decades now. BUT this location’s manager needs to invest a bit more attention.Tables were all dirty or sticky. No napkins stocked, no water cups available (cafe rio should be the healthy option).Covid is over, stop using it as an excuse to not stock hot sauce, this is part of your identity.Unlocking only one of two swing doors in a restaurant just tells me someone was too lazy to open the second for 6 inches away.Please turn on your lights during the day in the dining area, it looks lonely and closed.Won’t be coming back to this Cafe Rio, too many better options living up to the name are available.
My favorite fast-casual Mexican restaurant franchise is probably that one, and the Germantown branch is notably quick, tidy, and welcoming.
First time eating at Cafe Rio, have to say it’s nothing special same as Chipotle only worse have to pay extra for grilled chicken and other things that come free at Chipotle. The shredded meat was too chewy, rice was dry and black beans tasted like they were from a can.
This is a lovely place to eat. Wonderful people that treats you well. Very good food, great selection. Please come on by and bring the family.
This is the first place we went to for my first meal here in the US. The serving is huge than where I came from and the people are also very welcoming. Good place, good Mexican food!
Be prepared to WAIT a long time for food. Placed an $100 order ahead of time. Food was suppose to be ready at 11:50 am order was placed at 10:06 am. Got there at 11:35. They haven’t started my order yet, there is two people working the order line with 15 people in line waiting to order food. No one is in the back kitchen. 4 employees are sitting eating lunch while the lunch line forms. I watched for 10 mins as the employees finished eating and then went back into the kitchen. Person I spoke to was rude and said the order wasn’t ready and didn’t give a time estimate either.Order was picked up 15 mins after ready time. Got a free soda for the wait.Update. Move it up to 3 stars as the salad I ordered was decent. Lots of food for the prices.
Veggie burrito literally came with nothing except rice and beans, and it’s the same price as the meat burritos. Feel so ripped. The few ingredients that were included were tasty, but I was expecting idk... veggies? Maybe some guac? In place of the meat, which I paid the same price for
Overcharged multiple times, check the receipt carefully. I told them at the counter I didn’t think the order total was correct, they assured me it was. I paid, got my receipt, and plugged my order in online to double check, and indeed they had overcharged me. I was sitting in the restaurant so was able to get a refund but still frustrating when I brought up the issue before I paid. Final straw was my wife picking up carry out for dinner, they way overcharged her by ringing though tacos and rice/beans as a la carte vs meals. She again questioned it but was in a rush, so after she paid and went through receipt at home, realized total was like $20 too high.
Burritos can be served dry instead of saucy ingredients leaking out and filling the whole bowl with the liquid. Tacos tasted better but again leaking marinade. The green minty drink was amazing!
Customer service is awful. Woman didn’t even ask me if I wanted anything in my burrito. When I asked for lettuce and queso she threw it on top. Cashier didn’t even say hello or anything
